While this is from a Bozo theme, it seems to fit better here:
Back from the shadows again. Out where an Injun's your friend. Where the vegetables are green, and you can pee into the stream, and that's important we're back from the shadows again.
Fantastic vistas. I'm headed to Needles CA this weekend for some Route 66 federation business, where the vistas will be endless beige dusty desolation.
It's not quite the same as these pics you've shared!
However, with the rains we're getting, perhaps there'll be something to see if the desert blooms.
Anyone else having [occasional] problems downloading the Drudge page? Lately it seems to be locking up while uploading r1.ace.advertising.com - requiring a minute or more to free up the mouse commands. Unusual because Drudge normally loads in a flash.
Today I accidentally pushed my camera off the upper level counter that forms a pass through wall onto the lower work surface counter level. CLANK. Accessing the damage I saw it fell lens first directly onto a banana inside a bowl. Completely smashed the banana without getting a trace of banana guts on the lens, and nary a scratch.
The nail in the coffin. My work paid off. See, http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2010/10/05/obama-clinton-ticket-on-the-table/.
It is over. Obama/Clinton will finish off Palin and etc. If Clinton does not want to join, then no problem. We will have to work hard, but we will defeat the GOP.
American's Politico...Did you just admit that you are going to have to work hard to re-elect Zero in a coming contest with Palin? That is a major change in your tune. Hanging out at Althouse has messed up your single mindedness.
Chip et al: In a fit of anger I once flipped over a low table with my camera on it. The table top was a 5/8 inch slab of travertine marble, which landed on the camera (an Olympus OM-10 SLR) which had landed lens-up on the floor. The stone broke into 5 pieces at the point of impact with the lens. The camera was undamaged, and the lens (a 28-80 stock Zuiko) only suffered a slight stiff spot in one point of focus. Note that the OM-10 was the budget plastic version of the wonderful but expensive OM1. Over time I took many fine photos of the lady who had caused that fit of anger. You never know how things are going to turn out.
The thing is I'm tired. My apartment building does not maintain the hallway carpets to my satisfaction. They do, yes, just not good enough. There are a lot of young people here, and unlike myself ...
... they are like ... so im-muh-chur!
The hall extends a great length beyond my door. Unable to endure the time lost walking it, youngsters run it instead. Sodas, in hand, beers jostling, bags of chips flying. . Maybe they flail their arms while speaking and holding cocktails. They party a lot, and not the the kind of parties that I host either, the noisy kind where the point is to become drunk. Their puppies apparently cannot hold their water for long. Honestly, I do not know what the problem is.
So I bought a super-duper heavy-duty carpet cleaner, a BIG one, a carpet cleaner that commercial enterprises use, one with a meter on it, and I used it myself on the public hallway for the first time, and boy, did it ever get that thing clean! (It had just been cleaned two weeks ago, for whatever that was worth) And that wore me out. That's why I misspelled access for assess. That's my reason and I'm stick'n with it.
Yes, it's nice this time of year, isn't it? Nice photos.
Hey, Ann, maybe I missed it. Did you cover your boy Rush Limbaugh making like a Middle Schooler?
In addition to referring to the Financial Services chairman as the “banking queen,” Limbaugh played the song “My Boy Lollypop” as he talked about Frank and added slurping noises into the song that simulate the sounds of a sexual act.

Beautiful shots, Ann. That is all.

That's not at the Overlook Hotel, is it?

wv: "ressest" -- falling back to sleep.
Deciduous senescence.
The old Senate leaves this Fall.

You do grandeur very well, Madame. Absolutely splendid. And without Mr. Meade, you'd be stuck in some gloomy coffeeehouse.
PS There must be a wagonmaster or scout in your ancestry. I can just hear, "We'll have the house down by the river and the corrals along the road...".
(With apologies to Dunson and Garth)
Clearly, the Earth's overpopulation demands a one-child policy.
The leaves will be dropping like snow in about 3 weeks. Nature must have its own WiFi clock app hidden in the trees.
Fall colors seem to be peaking a bit early here in the Twin Cities. It's been spectacular.

La la la.
Saved by the Banana.
Oh my God..
I went to the Banana Republic site and there is a good looking woman that has been made to look horrendous.

I can't see the trees for the forest.

Rachel Lucas is back!
I'm excited and just had to tell somebody.
Kristen:
That is the best news I've heard in MONTHS! Thanks!
Folks, if you have not read Rachel's series from Auschwitz, you have not read anything.

Fred, yay! I knew someone here would appreciate that as much as I did.
