"Arriving angry at Bush's Texas ranch over the president's position on Israel and Ramallah, Abdullah quickly decided he wanted to leave."

I'll take "nook-q-lar" over "behaved stoopidly", "it took a long time to free the slaves"....or what ever else passes for 733t thinking.

Does Bush even live there anymore?

Didn't they sell it right after he left the White House?

I say Go Giants as well.

Turkeys do fly, but first they walk. Or trot.

It was a sign from God that Bush would be succeeded in office by a jive turkey.

Two lines struck me:

Bush pulls back the curtain with a strikingly personal work that takes very few shots at his critics.

Bush found himself saying a prayer for the cancer-stricken ABCNEWS anchor Peter Jennings.

W has always been a personable man with an easy way of making friends, but his deciding, along with the Dems in Congress, to finance his wars with the Mother of all Real Estate Bubbles turns out to have been the worst decision ever made by a US President.Does he talk about that decision?

I like to do a "grande Pleay" when I fart. I may to Port de Bras hands as well to introduce the fart.

It makes it more dramatic.

Hey Lem, Texas was just better than us. They won fair and square. I congratulate them.

It's a shame that Lee had to lay down like a dog in the Series though. I thought Arnold Rothstein was dead?

Garage: Are you aware that every chance you get you wail against the Saudis? Does your bigotry and lack of tolerance have no bounds at all? Are you not aware of the rules of liberal orthodoxy?

Meh, he may have been a nice guy, but he spent our money faster than any liberal save Obama. The fact that he looks good in comparison to the current President does not, IMO, absolve him of those terrible policies.

I don't know any liberals that stick up for Saudi Arabia, do you?

I was walking the dogs this morning about 4:45am, and I was going to take another block, but we saw an armadillo. So we turned around and came home.

But that was because my dogs are hard to control around armadillos.

I guess a turkey on the road is as good an omen as any, when you believe in omens and other supernatural occurances controling your life.

@Titus

Remember what Jack Nicholson said in The Bucket List....'never trust a fart'.

The ice maker on the refrigerator spit out a piece of ice when I walked into the kitchen.

I took that as an omen that I should pour myself a scotch.

There was no omen, but I opened a box of crackers and sliced some cheese anyway.

Why is that, are they all bad?

MadisonMan said...

DB Queen, did you intentionally follow a post mentioning farts with a one talking about cutting cheese?

as Ms DeVito stated in My Cousin Vinny...the only car that could make those tire marks was a corvette which could never, ever be confused with a buick skylark....

although in hindsite assuming that the turkey in the road was the former president it might be confusing indeed.

Marisa Tomei played a character named "Mona Lisa Vito" DeVito the last name of your twin.

Corvettes were not mentioned in that film, instead, the car used by the murderers was a Tempest with a limited slip differential.

Hindsite is not a word, except in your twisted shit-encrusted world. Go back to marinating in your own feculence and leave commenting to those who are not habitual liars, crooks and self-soilers.

And for God's sake, learn to write in English. You are a fucking retard, but you are wrong about everything.

WV: dabutsin - seriously - you commit them every day, hd.

Q. Why did the turkey cross the road?

A. Sorry, that's classified, so you'll have to wait for the next Wikileaks dump.

My husband to be, dating at the time of this movie (one of my all time favorite movies), impressed the hell out of me when we were watching this movie. Neither of us had ever seen it yet.

He is a huge classic car buff and when the photos of the tire tracks were shown, before Marisa Tomei had her scene, he explained to me exactly why the tracks were important, what a limited differential slip rear end was, how it worked, and named the Pontiac Tempest as a possible make of the get away car.

After UN-pausing the movie and then continuing on, he was vindicated.

The man is a car savant: can tell you the year of almost any classic car (pre 1980's) by a glimpse of the headlights or a fender well.

I remain impressed.

You're overlooking Amazon's profit-maximizing strategy. Usually with pre-orders (I haven't checked in this case), they offer release day delivery if you pay extra for the two-day shipping and handling. And I'm sure they make a profit on "and handling".

There are some minor benefits for the customer in preordering:

1. You're guaranteed an early copy, even if not same day.

2. If the price drops between when you order and when it ships, you automatically get the reduced price. That happened with a DVD set I ordered: I saved $9 without even trying. But if somehow the price goes up, you get the original pre-order price.

3. The usual Amazon benefits: shop from home, etc.

Those are pretty minor benefits, I admit. Still, there's no real down side to pre-ordering: they don't charge your card until they actually pack and ship your order, so it's not like they're tying up your funds.

An angry arab sees a butterball on foot, says it's a sign from Allah, and then everything is okay once again? Well, shit, then I think a turkey drop in the whole of the middle-east and other Muslim countries should pretty much engender world peace at that point, no?

Hey, you old biddy. When you wake up in the morning and crack the shit encrusted from you hollow, sunken, raccoon eyes and shamble towards the bathroom to empty out your colostomy bag, do you look in the mirror and get totally confused at who the fuck is looking back at you? That is your existence you miserable wretch.

Wild turkeys fly, domesticated turkeys are unable to take flight. Probably because domesticated turkeys have been bred to have meaty large breasts. A wild turkey doesn't have anywhere near the same amount of breast meat.
