"Power, I said! Power to walk into the gold vaults of the nations, into the secrets of kings, into the Holy of Holies!"

"Power to make multitudes run squealing in terror at the touch of my little invisible finger. Even the moon's frightened of me, frightened to death!"

It's "The Invisible Man" with the magnificent Claude Rains and the lovely Gloria Stuart. Gloria Stuart — perhaps you know her from "Titanic" — dead now, at age 100.

He doesn't even mention the girls' locker room.

Different times.

My favorite take on invisibility was an episode of the X-Files where a none-too-bright feller had gone invisible somehow, and immediately been hit by a car that couldn't see him to stop.

This reminds me of Kool Keith - in full-on Dr. Octagon quack mode - walking around with a TV remote, declaring he controls the moon.

Rap is great. If you haven't already, you've gotta hear Octagonecologyst, and it's inspired sci-fi comic book brilliance/nonsense.

Now, look, maybe your method of massage differs from mine, but touchin' his lady's feet, and stickin' your tongue in her holiest of holies, ain't the same ballpark, ain't the same league, ain't even the same fuckin' sport.

The old broad was hot--and smart too, it seems.

She seems like a really interesting woman with a whole lot going on. Compare and contrast with her contemporaries and with the current crop in films.

Why do I see George Soros at 17 when I read that quote?

Why on earth would someone let the 100-year-old last living Titanic survivor get on a Segway?

He doens't have that much power. If he walked into th gold vaults he could still only carry the same amount of gold that he could carry if he wasn't invisible .And the gold would be visible! So anyone who was there could see a bar of gold floating around. If he could also make things he touched invisible that would be something.
Though, he would have certain advantages with assassinations, but only if he used his bare hands, as anything he carried would similarly be visible.

He could sell his secret to countries who can sweep the world with invisible armies. Armies of naked people with no weapons. Not so good against tanks and aircraft.
