You are being sucked in to doing a century. You are one third of the way there. Well done.

I reckon you're slimming down, girl.

If the Meadester was excited before ... just wait. Keep on biking.

Don't forget taking some potassium with that much exercise.

Roadside birthday party, the advantage of sticking to roads for bike commutes.

The Blonde envies your knees. When she had her first knee injury, she did a lot of rehab on the bike. Once she finished, she swore she'd never get on a bike again.

Definitely. You can damage your heart (sodium-potassium pump) to the point of an attack. I get this lecture every time you know who assesses me (and she's always assessing me).

PS Looks like the next cool front heading toward us is already where you are.

Nice pics.

Fat red barns and fat silver silos
Packed full of corn, another bumper crop;
The hand of labor, slowed almost to a stop,
Releases the earth in sweet repose.

So, how do you feel after that exertion?

I hope you had, or soon will have, a chance to pop into the Glarner Stube for a Reuben Sandwich and a plate of Roesti.

33 miles is pretty damn repectable.

Have you biked the Elroy-Sparta Trail? It's a beautiful trail, fun to ride.

Your second picture lead me to this and this

The Barn journal?

not to be confused with The Farm Journal

(Growing up, folks originally from Iowa, they subscribed to this for some reason.)

Nice photos and good inspiration. A few weeks ago, my wife and I canoed a good stretch of that river, it was scenic but it was hardly a challenging paddle, after seeing these photos, now we will consider the bike trail :)

I've biked that one too. Elroy-Sparta is the one with the tunnels.
