ABC showed the video feed from a camera aimed at the judges (but never aired) ending Boo-Gate once and for all. It showed the judges reacting to the "boos" and telling the audience that 8 is a good score, among other things. You can hear the cheers begin for Sarah Palin when Tom announces that he is with their "Special Commentator, Sarah Palin."
The people hitting the ABC DWTS comment board don't take proof for an answer, though. Conspiracy theories are flying left and...well, left.
Years ago, I was watching the local 10pm news in Madison. The anchor/weatherman/sports-guy were yucking it up as I imagine they are coached to do to make the show all happy and feel good. Anyway, in the midst of the laughing the sports-guy tells one of the others to "take a lude".
QUICK cut to commercial. When they return it is the sports section of the newscast. I have never seen a more somber, serious sports report ever. I can only imagine the reeming out the sports guy got during the commercial break. "Take a Lude?!?!?!?! Are you fucking NUTS?! You can't say that on television! You want to keep this job?!?! Idiot!"
The Daily News chose the wrong homophone and DWTS gets labeled as stupid? We are in a different reality, aren't we?
DWTS seems to have a lot of class all the way around. They could have milked "Boo-Gate" for much more, but didn't. It's been a while since I last saw ABC's news division clear up a controversy when it benefits the Left. ABC had the tape explaining why George H.W. Bush said he had never seen anything like it when referring to the next-gen grocery-store price scanner he had just seen at that trade show, and never showed it again. You know the one that totaled a belt load of groceries in seconds? The ones you still don't see in the stores today. And that is only one example of hundreds I can recall.
"When correctly viewed, anything is lewd . . . "For, as the Judge remarked when he acquitted my Aunt Hortense, 'To be smut it must be utterly without redeeming social importance.'"

Dancing with the stars IS stooopid.
Lude?
Back in Latin class, we used to talk about ludi, but they were pop quizzes.
Maybe they meant to say "lewd" but are spelling-impaired?

I used to drive an '86 'Lude. It was a terrific little commuter car.
Aww. I think that mistake is kind of cute.
