and then I had vague recollections of comparison to Reagan, mandate etc (not by Sully but by certain adoring fans)

Her husband (now ex-husband) had been President Bush's White House photographer and he stayed on to work for Obama.

Anyway she goes to lunch with this so called "Republican health care Lobbyist" who invites her to an event. Even after Cat spouts off every ludicrous assertion that could be made as though she was channeling AlphaLiberal through her skanky twat.

This Cat is invited to this event and told to bring her friends. She is filmed with her daughters trying to pick the most outragous outfit to wear so "She would never be invited to another Republican event again." Now you would think that if you had no use for Republican's why did you agree to go to the event and bring your freeloading friends? Other than for the free drinks?

So what is her outfit? She comes in a Sarah Palin outfit.

I just thought it was the perfect depiction of the Democratic mindset.

Obama is supposedly anti gay marriage but pro civil unions. Since that is Sully's only real issue of note, he can only hate repubs so much before he has to recognize that Obama is made of the same cloth.
And in fact Laura Bush and Dick Cheney are more liberal on this issue than the most liberal of liberals in the White House. Of course, I think Obama is actually for gay marriage, he just doens't have to courage of his principles to actually state as much.
So Sully is feeling that great queasy feeling of someone who has to rely on someone but knowing that guy will throw him under the bus.
