Yeah, the show's back, with the tribes split into old (40 and over) and young (30 and under), and it's on Wednesdays now. And Meade's wearing his "Survivor" T-shirt.
It all makes sense. Except... Meade should have been there on the oldie team. He's way over 40. But he did earn that T-shirt. (Enlarge to read.)

What's w/ the Muslim crescent stuff on that shirt?
Just googled this thing, expecting it to be lame. But, it wasn't. Good for Meade.
@1jpb That made me look closely enough for the first time and see the bicycle logo. Looked more like trees or a football. There's a sun (the spiral) and the moon and then a light and dark bicycle. It signifies that they ride night and day for 100 miles. Mountain miles.
Here's Meade at the end of that race in 2001. Totally happy, he says, leading in his category (old guys) at the last checkpoint.
I think it may be km rather than miles. But, this account surely makes it clear that it can be a killer.
BTW, my 'muslim' question was a lot more trollish (as usual) than earnest.
Right. Kilometers.
Use the metric system to make things seem bigger!
Ha ha.
You want a full 100 miles? I did it only once: HERE. I was one of the last guys to come in. Something like 17 hours.
Yeah. Mental.
I think Meade's survivor T-shirt refers to something else. Just sayn'
Hat's off to ya, Meade. Seeing this and catching some of the Ironman, last weekend, has got me looking at a couple races (running) for next year. Hooray for the AARP qualifiers!
I've done close to two hundred miles. But, that was on the road, which is obviously much easier, and faster.
There is a two tribes competition starting up over at the GOP this month too. The Palin family and the Bush Family are at war. Rove is loyally torpedoing any Palin success stories, and Mitch Daniels is still getting another admiration article done on him each week by a Bush Family operative. It reminds me of the Corleone family and the Tartaglias.
My idea is put them on Komodo Island and see if they can survive the
Dragons.
You (Meade) did 100 kilometers mountain biking? Sheesh.
