Nice American flag drapped just like a big Nazi flag...The link goes to a photo that I didn't take.
In a train station too... You know who liked trains? Nazis! Therefore...
Althouse is a FASCIST! Q.E.D. (Meade has too much connection to the earth to be called a fascist... he's just a FASCIST-LOVER!)
That station is amazing. So were the fountain sculptures. I wanna visit the city now. One thing on my to-see-in-Cincinnati list is the sculpture of the great Cincinnatus returning the fasces and returning to the plow... the fasces resembles an Uzi.
Palladian comes in with:
Cincinnati has a replica of the Capitoline She-wolf in Eden Park, presented to the city by none other than Benito Mussolini himself! And that link does go to an old blog post of mine — with a photo by... well, that's not by me either. By Meade:
Hey! Look at those teats, Tits! This vindicates Alan Simpson. And Jonah Goldberg.

The two things I took away from Jonah's book were 1) an interest to study the Wilson administration for myself (shudder) and 2) an ever deeper dislike for Hillary Clinton. The quotes he attributed to her were borne out by further research into his footnotes, cross referencing where possible.
See...you can't just say you read something interesting in a political book anymore (if you ever could). Taking things at face value is for sheep.
By the by, Wilson was distilled evil and Hillary is a closet Orwellian.
We could use a Cincinnatus right about now.
America Vita!
Separated at birth:
Romulus and Remus or Althouse and the Capitoline She-Wolf?
As has been noted before by many besides me, the Lefties are masters (and mistresses) of projection.

Ain't it the truth? Woody didn't have his stroke a minute too soon, and probably about ten years too late. You're absolutely right, that guy was evil.
And the Democrat Party continues his work.
PS Easy to see that photo was taken through the eyes of love.
You're standing next to the logo of Boston Latin School in that picutre, Professor.
Cincinnatti is named indirectly after George Washington, who was often compared to Cincinnatus, because he didn't make himself Emperor a la Napoleon. It was named in 1790 after the Society of the Cincinnati, of which George Washington was the first president.

This no doubt is responsible for the Roman iconography.
Ann Althouse if the intellectual equivalent of Jonah Goldberg.
Not praise.
> the sculpture of the great Cincinnatus returning the fasces and returning to the plow
For extra credit: Compare and contrast that Cincinnatus statue to Daniel Chester French's American Cincinnatus in Concord.
Liberal fascist. I've been called worse. You wear that mantle proud, Ann!!!
Sometimes a duck is just a duck, not a liberal fascist.

Julius' comments based on the old association argument about rat in the attic, attic on fire, rat sets attic on fire: nice little argument. Tongue in cheek, I assumed, with a bow towards current post-modern artistic and political "larger truths" as opposed to experience and reality.
I am hoping the comment by Alpha Liberal is also some kind of self-referential, obvious humor. Otherwise it falls into the "larger truth', create-a-narrative that repels unpleasant facts and ideas, making room for a new story arc. Sort of like MediaMatters.
I wonder how many Google hits you'll get for the phrase "Althouse is a FASCIST!" now...
Hey! Look at those teats, Tits!
Love to, but the scarf and jacket are in the way.
wv poedgen: Quoth the poedgen, `Nevermore.'
I'm thinking of a book titled Liberal Titism. Can anybody recommend a publisher?
The cover will be a lot more interesting the smiley face with a Hitler mustache.
