I blame Bush.

The moon is shrinking.

Clearly anthropogenic.

Is there anything the govt does not waste money on?

Also, could this lead to a shortage of werewolves and bad drunks on full moons?

I agree. We have a consensus. Now, where can I get a billion dollar grant to study the effects of methane on moon shrinkage?

I knew it. Songs about the "full" moon are also shrinking. But we can tell the grandkids that when we were young the moon was so much bigger.

The moon is in the 7th house while Jupiter alines with Mars and peace will guide the plant as Obama guides the stars.

The distance between Earth and Moon is increasing by some one-and-half inches per year. Eventually, the Moon will break free of Earth orbit entirely, and whatever intelligent life is on this planet will probably be completely f*cked when this happens.

In the meantime, I'm waiting for Al Gore come up with some research to tell us how much of our changing weather patterns are due to an escaping Moon -- and it's effects upon the tidal forces that help shape our weather -- and figure out what we might do about it, instead of buying beachfront property at bargain-basement prices after he's assured us it will all be underwater in 50 years.

But that might be asking peoplelike Him to do some real science that produces a real result, without the scam attached to it, so I won't be holding my breath.

Good! That'll make my moon property worth more. And they said I was crazy!

AST: Dream on! You're going to be tied up in courts for so long just trying to adjudicate new boundary lines that your property is, essentially, unsalable.

I guess this what Albert Gore and the rest of the enviro nuts meant when they talked about all the coastal cities being under water some day.

That's what I call high tides!

Too late. That check was cut with last years "stimulus". I'm surprised you didn't hear about it. It created/saved 0.025 jobs.
