Ann, it is dreadful. I really like bloggingheads. That how I came to this blog, actually. But this diavlog has no meat. Both people ramble aimlessly, about nothing. I had to turn it off.
Dont you remember when "Moe" blogged with Hana Rosin of Slate/DoubleX ? Imagine that diavlog with "Moe" and a slightly older version of herself.
I had to stop after a line about how the new woman on the daily show (Olivia Munn) is funny, and we know so because she has had really rough patches in her life that involve molestation. Because of this, the contend (and agree!), she has to be funny. Funny people are funny because they have difficult pasts. They actually say something like that, as if being funny is a necessary consequence of a hard childhood.
Lots of us have a word or phrase we really like the sound of, but what in god's name led her to choose "institutional affiliation" as that which she never tires of saying?
I didn't watch past the 49 seconds, but my understanding was that The Daily Show (back when it was Kilborne) was basically the product of Winstead and another chick...Maddie Samberg?
And also that it was a total catfight.
'course, I got that info from would-be female comedy writers so, y'know.
I suffered through half of this crap. Wow, these women are dumb.
I find bloggingheads almost intolerable, largely because the people on them don't know how to talk properly for video. They pause too much, they repeat themselves, they use too many filler words ("uh", "you know", etc.)
Most blogginghead episodes could be reduced by a third by just removing the inconsequential nonsense (and another half by remove the simply inane parts.)
What's the matter with (some of) you people? I listened to 30 minutes of less meaningful blather on my way to work today. I can kill 50 seconds watching a divavlog without bitching. All the "oh you're in your apartment, too" stuff is kinda funny.
I'll have to tell all the people I know looking for work (from my advanced age down to college students and recent graduates) that they should describe themselves as having "no institutional affiliation"...
I didn't know we were supposed to include that in introductions. One could spice it up:
"I'm Freeman Hunt. I've no institutional affiliations. Nor any non-institutional affiliations. Nor have I instituted any affiliations of an institutional nature. Nor have I ever been institutionalized. Nice to make your affiliation."

Adorable ? I guess you didnt watch much of this Diavlog yet.
seems like the second or third time where a post regarding "feminist" issues comes soon after a Palin or Palin-related post .
I'm sensing some deeper message here.

Ha! You're right! I only watch the clip I clipped. Did it go off the tracks? Explain!
Most wasted 49 seconds of my life, ever.
I have no institutional affiliations either. But I do have a brain.
Lizz Winstead is cute. She looks like Jane Kaczmarek.

49 seconds and I didn't even get pissed. Adorable it will stay. I don't want to ruin it by watching more.
No institutional affiliation? Does that mean they are living in the shadows of unemployment?
Are they Momma Grizzlies? Well, maybe they just need a good bear hug or two.

No, I don't think that that many momma grizzlies still live in apartments.
I think they're a definite argument for institutional affiliation.
I thought it was more embarrassing than adorable.
Lizz was at a disadvantage with Mo constantly interrupting her and being a ditz. Annoying as hell.
