Remember when Lesley Gore was Pussycat, one of Catwoman's minions?
I didn't remember that either. I was just reading about Lesley Gore because I happened to hear an old song of hers — "Maybe I Know" — on the radio.

She's not the type of girl to kiss a boy on the first crime?
A few things have changed in 44 years, haven't they?
Notice the comfortable shoes.
What's a radio?
Vaguely, I remember Pussycat. The song I remember much better. '64 IIRC.
I remember this one by Leslie Gore - first pop song that I can recall that had a women's lib theme to it, before there really was much of a feminist movement.
You Don't Own Me
Here she is in 1988:

This must be the answer to the mysterious Althouse strange POV. Leslie Gore's songs once taught her there was no way out and she had to put up with cheating boy friends( and cry if she wants to). But now as a mature woman she is trying to get revenge on cheating Bloggers.
I met her when I spent a four week "exchange" at Sarah Lawrence. Nice girl, not stuck up. Had her own security because someone was stalking her.
I don't remember that either. But I do remember she was an English schoolgirl in "To Sir, With Love," and sang the title song.
One of the great voices of the early '60s.
I remember that watching that caused strange feelings to wash over a nine year old boy. Feelings that Patty Duke never were able to cause.
This post is not about Leslie. It's about her little brother.
Al.
Too bad Robin was gay.
Have you seen The T.A.M.I. Show DVD? So good.
Lesley Gore is on it, among many other people.
I took a video of her. http://www.flickr.com/photos/82479320@N00/4640520431/
Lesley Gore is not acting in rebuffing Robin, since she is a lesbian. Robin of course is acting, because he is gay.
As I remember, that was about the time when Batman started to get weird for five year olds.

I'll cry if I want to.
I don't recall her being mentioned in "Wonder Boy My Life in Tights".

Sorry, but wrong on two counts. Pamela Geeson played the young heroine, and lip synced the song as performed by Lulu.
That could very easily be an iPad she's fondling.

Lesley Gore's worth the cost alone . . . but then you get James Brown's "Please Please Please" and the world takes a TURN.
