The sun is headed out west until it will finally fall into the ocean at Carmel Beach. Thanks for sharing the beauty.

That looks oddly like a nuclear explosion.

It is isn't it? At a safe distance of course.

Add a couple in Banlon pantsuits and the dry look and you'd have a KTEL or Sessions album cover...

Lets see if Papelbon blows this one too.

Ouch.. he held on.. just barely.

Let's see if Lem blows this one.
Yes he will !.

Sorry friend, to jam you with a seemingly unbeatable lead-in jam-a-trois. Maybe try?

Grades finally submitted, I had time to visit, and I'm greeted by this gorgeous shot. Thanks!

That's a classic Palladian. Excellent work!

Very nice, Madame. Filtered, obviously, and an interesting effect. More like a summer sunset than mid-Spring.

Anent the primaries, the usual suspects are whining about the Republicans being "purged" because people who are tired of being sold out by the Assistant Democrats are finally doing something about it.

This is about 15 years late, but at least it's being done. No more reaching across the aisle and all that nonsense. Get rid of a few more placeholders and maybe somebody like Kagan might even face a fight on her qualifications.

Hey Palladian, where can I buy the album? =)

Seasons in the Sun
Heh.
Now it will be stuck in your heads for the next 8 hours or so.

Thnx, Terry Jacks!!!

Sorry to spoil your sunny/rosy post, Ann. What the fuck is this moron talking about here? "Capture the world's imagination" when they beheaded Daniel Pearl and showed it to the world? Horrible beyond words! The fucking idiot is nothing without a teleprompter.

I'm trying to figure out where on the Lake Mendota shore that picture is taken from. And I'm failing. Warner Park?

Completely OT, but is anyone else having trouble loading Instapundit?

I get "this program has stopped working" everytime.

@MM
Looks like it was taken from the tip of Picnic Point looking west, but I haven't been there in 30 years.

I never realized before I saw it posted here, but Dylan really does sing in italics - and Pavarotti sings in bold, and Sinatra in basic, non-italicized Cambria font.

Sinatra doesn't sing italicized lyrics. He sings italianized lyrics.

Pretty sunset picture. When I had my little store on a lake I would watch the sunset every night & took lots of pictures too. Here's one of my favorites: after a storm, in my album, Sunsets

I miss that.

Possible effect of Iceland volcanic drift, or is it all eastward?

Heh, had to google Sammy Johns. Chevy Van - thank you (not!) for putting that in my head.

Tho I hope one of the unlisted top hits includes the Beach Boys' "Don't Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder)".
