Back in Madison.
We drove 1,000+ miles, taking turns sleeping on the passenger side. Pre-dawn, we crossed the Mississippi River, and we made it to our driveway in the first light of morning. After 5 more hours of sleep — blessed, own-bed sleep — I need to reappear in this space and disperse any stray notions about whether we made it home all right. We did!

Glad you had a nice vacation!
I hope that when you got home you didn't find that someone had broken into your house and left racist writings inside with the hope of someone else finding them, all as part of a far-reaching diabolical scheme to misrepresent your views as too extreme for consideration.
Because, you know, burglary is not just against the law -- it's also RUDE.
Good to hear you guys made it back safe and sound.
Driving Boulder to Madison...hmmm...I bet the flyover zones you had to drive through were terrifying.
j/k just teasing about the hippieness of Boulder and Madison.
Next hippie vacation destination:
Haight Ashbury!
Nice shoes Kliz ;)
Welcome back to the early Spring!
We are so happy you weren't attacked enroute by any right-wing militias.
We judge you by your rest stop, Althouse.
Welcome home.
