Just another stellar performance today from the over-rated Big East. Yawn. 'Twas a shame that the stripes had to bail out Villanova late against Robert Morris.
Don't fear, G'Town fans. You're team has got a 2nd half to get their stuff together and, I dunno, think about some kind of perimeter defense. Remember, kids, uncontested 3's kill.
Game's over, and you can put a get out the fresh strawberry preserves for Georgetown, 'cause they're toast.
This past week the Washington Post published a lengthy article on Georgetown's inconsistent season, and one of the players was quoted as saying something to the effect of "we can beat anybody in this tournament, and we can lose to anybody in this tournament." Yup.
Every year, they put 5 or 6 Big Ten teams in the tournament, and one or two MAC teams, and all but one Big Ten team is eliminated in the first 2 rounds.
But those Big Ten teams must be good; sure they have 10 losses, but most of those are to Big Ten teams. And the circular logic is only worse in football rankings.
I don't understand conference theory. The big east is a strong conference because they have strong teams. The reason the ACC is considered terrible this year is because NC was terrible. Etc.
Also damn Villanova. They should have lost that game and my bracket be damned I was pretty heartbroken for Robert Morris who got a bit unlucky at the end.
Well, YEAH, who else, WOULD you root for! GO Kats!
Prediction: Kentucky wins it all. The NCAA promptly vacates the season due to recruiting violations, and Calipari leaves for greener pastures (the NBA?) just ahead of the hanging posse - again.
I am only halfway joking. With Coach Cal, this could really happen.

Go Wofford!
Over-rated Big East, or under-rated MAC?

Ahh, the Big Least Conference, darlings of the sports media elite.
Do they even know where Athens, Ohio is, much less traveled there?
Cheers!
Gtown lost, Florida and Vandy lost! Gah! I guess I have to route for Kentucky this year. At least they won their game.

I went to the link and wasn't sure "WTF" I was supposed to "read out loud" because it's so "funny."
Can anyone point to or quote what what it is on that page I'm supposed to be reading that's so fucking funny?
Must I say it again?
Twitter is a confusing waste of time.
