We also have the four-foot Icicles of Damocles, but there are no city workers knocking them off our roof. When I do it, I swing the shovel, then step back.

The deaths are sad, kind of Donnie Darko freaky, and keep me from imagining icicling recycling and impact studies.

A local iPod wearing jogger lost her life when a tree crashed onto her.
She never saw it coming.
WTF? We have snow and ice in this country and I never heard of roof sweepers doing this work. Is this more government make-work?
