Seasonal ladybug swarms pester even bug experts (AP) – Oct 21, 2009
ST. LOUIS — Seasonal swarms of ladybugs are pestering residents across parts of North America. Even insect experts are bugged by them.
Pest control specialist Gene Scholes said this week that thousands of Asian lady beetles have congregated outside his Hannibal, Mo., home. Dozens more have weaseled their way inside.
The beetle swarms tend to be heaviest on warm days after a period of cooler weather, Scholes and other insect experts said. Infestations have been reported from Illinois to Massachusetts to the Toronto area.
The bugs are particularly drawn to light-colored buildings with sunny exposures as they seek a warm place to settle for the winter.
To get rid of the bugs, Scholes and others suggest using a vacuum cleaner to collect them, then emptying the vacuum outside.

The Ladybug is the Official State Insect of five states; New York, Ohio, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Tennessee. The Lady Bug is the Official State "Bug" of Delaware. The Lady Beetle as it's called in scientific circles comes in many colors, including white, yellow, pink, orange, red or black and generally has spots.
Ladybugs are considered to be beneficial insects, because of their voracious appetite for garden aphids.

Is this another of those 'ladybug climbs Everest' movies?
Damn trends!
Probably looking for somewhere to hibernate.
Now do a movie with flies on poop through a fish-eye lens!
Ladybugs always climb up. On a blade of grass the time it takes them to reach the top is just enough to say,
"Ladybug, ladybug
Fly away home,
Your house is on fire
And your children will burn."
And then she does.
That's actually more like scrambling. Now, this, that's a true climbing master at work. Let's see a ladybug do that.

I wonder if that silly bug will remember she can fly.
Guess not.
Did she give you permission to film her?
It would be cool to have a lady bug the size of a volkswagen. Provided it did not try to eat you like an aphid.
It's been an invasion of the ladybugs around here.
