Hi Ann,

Great photos! Linked your Sept. 15, 2008 post at Bread upon the Waters. Also placed your blog on my blogroll.

I love this kind of image -- the reflection broken by objects on the surface of the water.

Usually no pond scum in November, yet that sure looks like it. I'm surprised there are no basking turtles.

Sarah Palin was in Wisconsin last Friday, but I don't recall a blog post about it. Yet what could have been more bloggable? But events seem to have eclipsed her.

I'm thinking walleye or bass.

I think it was duckweed.

I'll have some duck pics later.

I love ducks. I majored in loving ducks in college. Can't wait, Ann.

Take notice of what's before your eyes? Yea, right. All I've got to say to that, in light of the Fort Hood incident, is:

Good luck with that!!!

You folks are blind as bats - with no radar.

Ducks must have good internal calendars. It is coming on time for them to gather together the food for a winter's flight south until spring. Like vbspurs did until she came back home instinctively.

Obama is the new LBJ. LBJ presided over the passage of a host of social programs -- Civil Rights, Medicare, the War on Poverty -- while simultaneously fighting the War in Vietnam and the Cold War. He promised us both guns and butter, as some may recall, trying to finance both with a surtax, which I remember being considered unConstitutional.

It's a crocodile. Middle frame right. Snout and mid-back to tail visible.

LBJ never bowed down to Saudi masters.

Barack Hussein Obama is working for the other side.

Has anyone ever eaten alligator, and does it really taste like chicken?

If so, it needs some sauce. Swamp sauce, please.

Me too, vbspurs! That was before feminine studies took all the fun out of ducking.

Thanks, CL!

Penny, Here in Florida lots of restaurants serve alligator. Sort of a cross between chicken and seafood. Hey, it's eat or be eaten.
