While driving on West Lawrence Avenue going west...

... we were 120 miles from home, in the night rain in Chicago after the Dylan concert...

Do not adjust your wipers.. I know it's not sufficiently raining to have them at full blast.. I just love the sound they make when they have nothing to do ;)

It's been raining here for days. Not all the time, but enough every day to make it gloomy around here.

I may be a bit late in posting this, but you may want to take a right on Elston there... the Lawrence exit on to I-90 is blocked off due to construction.

Cool! My old stomping grounds. I grew up in that area (Lawrence and Pulaski) a long time ago.

I thought it was going to be one of those videos where you sit and watch something seemingly innocuous and then, in the last seconds, a horribly ghoulish creature jumps up and screams, causing you to go into cardiac arrest.

Yeah, this post could have been titled "While driving on West Lawrence Avenue going west with Laurence."

It will take a while for Meade to breake in the foreing car ;)

My tickets identified the street as W Lawrence Ave. and the street sign also said W Lawrence Ave., but obviously, if you've lived there, what you call it, trumps that.

Cool that people recognized the place in the first pic.
