Butler appears to be a fine Judge, I am sure the Professor knows him well, and that is a good reccomendation. President Obama seems to pick his Judges well.

I work as an AAG for the State of Wisconsin. I've had the pleasure of appearing before then-Justice Butler in the state supremes. Wicked smart, hard-working, fair. A really worthy choice for the federal bench.

Another Lawrence grad makes good, too (grin).

I used to get awards until the company ran out of awards money, and the motivational staff was laid off.

A judge too liberal for Wisconsin voters! Now on the federal bench.

There was a New Yorker cartoon from the late sixties or early seventies.

Two middle-aged white guys, wearing business suits, are in an office and they are looking over a personnel file.

One of them says, “What’s the point of hiring a negro if he doesn’t look like a negro?”
