A self-portrait:
My adorable husband:
A sister poses for her sister:

When you're driving along Route 160, in southern Colorado, do not miss the spectacular overlook at Wolf Creek Pass.

Mmmm Mmmm.
Doesn't it make you want to teach law in Boulder?
expern
Where do the sisters go to school?
While the sisters are outside my age range, I can only admire what spendid things shorts can be on certain ladies!
That's one of my favorite spots. I have a similar picture (with my own family in the foreground) for wallpaper on my computer at home. It's a wonderful place.
Fashion...Ho!
In the west, in the west, where the vistas are long;
Helps a man in ban rays to look craggy and strong.
Which reminds me that the female equivalent of a flat belly is thighs free of cellulite.
Such happiness in all of these shots!
That last photo is like a painting -- gorgeous.
As I am still trained, after all these years, to kiss up to law professors: that is a great picture of Ms. Althouse. She looks no older than her early thirties. In fact, her "adorable" husband is clearly too old for her. As a fellow Hoosier- good catch sir!
Words must bow before
the spectacle of God’s creation
where lives well-lived
stand proud to see forever.
Ann,
You really are a stunningly beautiful woman.
Meade,
Watch your back, dude.
Ok...enlarged the picture....trees...rocks... what am I looking for, again?
do not miss the spectacular overlook at Wolf Creek Pass
Me an' Earl was haulin' chickens
On a flatbed outa Wiggins
And we had spent all night on the uphill side
Of thirty seven miles of hell called Wolf Crick Pass
Which was up on the great divide
And we was sittin' there suckin' toothpicks
And drinkin' Nehis an' onion soup mix
And I says "Earl, let's mail a card to mother
And then send them chickens on down t'other side"
Yeah, lets give them hens a ride
Wolf Crick Pass way up on the great divide
Truckin' on down, the other side
Well Earl put down his bottle
Mashed his foot down on the throttle
And then a couple of boobs, with a thousand cubes
In a 1948 Peterbuilt screamed to life
We woke up the chickens
We roared up off'n that shoulder
Sprayin' pine cones rocks 'n boulders
And put four hundred head of them Road Island Reds
And a couple of burnt out roosters on the line
Look out below...cause here we go
Wolf Crick Pass way up on the great divide
Truckin' on down, the other side
Well we commenced a truckin'
And them hens commenced a cluckin'
Then Earl took out a match, and scratched his pants
And lit up the unused half of a dollar cigar
And took a puff
Says "My ain't this pretty up here"
And I says "Earl this hill can spill us
You better slow down or you gonna kill us
Just make one mistake and it's the pearly gates
For them eighty five crates
Of USDA approved cluckers
You wanna hit second?"
Wolf Crick Pass way up on the great divide
Truckin' on down, the other side
Well Earl grabbed on the shifter
And he stabbed her into fifth gear
And then the chromium plated, fully illuminated
Genuine ac-cessory shift knob
Come right off in his hand
I says "you wana screw that thing back on Earl ?"
He was tryin' to thread it on there
When the fire fell off a his cigar
And dropped on down sorta rolled around
And lit the cuff of Earls pants
And burnt a whole in his sock
Yeah it sorta set him right on fire
I looked on outa the window
An' I started in a countin' phone poles
Goin' by at the rate of four to the seventh power
I put two an' two together
Added twelve, an' carried five
Come up with twenty two thousand telephone poles an hour
I looked at Earl an' his eyes was wide
His lip was curled and his leg was fried
And his hands was froze to the wheel
Like a tongue to a sled in the middle of a blizzard
And I said Earl I'm not the type to complain
But the time has come for me to explain
That if you don't apply some brake real soon
They're gonna have to pick us up with a stick an' a spoon
Well Earl rared back
Cocked his leg
Stepped down as hard as he could on the brake
And the pedal went clear to the floor
And stayed - right there on the floor
Says it's sorta like steppin' on a plum
Well from there on down it just wasn't real pretty
It was hairpin county and switchback city
One of 'em looked like a can full of worms
Another one looked like malaria germs
Right in the middle of the whole damn show
Was a real nice tunnel now wouldn't you know
Sign says clearance to the twelve foot line
But them chickens was stacked to thirteen nine
Well we shot that tunnel at a hundred an' ten
Like gas through a funnel an' eggs through a hen
An' we took that top row of chickens off
Slicker 'n the scum off a Louisiana swamp
Went down an' around an' around an' down
An' we run outta ground at the edge of town
An' bashed on into the side of a feed store
In downtown Pagosa Springs
Wolf Crick Pass way up on the great divide
Truckin' on down, the other side
Wolf Crick Pass way up on the great divide
Truckin' on down, the other side

Beware house of Althouse .. and Meade.
I was scammed (more like suckered) by some outfit called Valuemax.
They charged my credit card 19.95 over a period of many months (since last year).
I know, I know.. it was always there in the statements but I've gone paperless (I got to be green you know) and they send me an email telling me "your statement is ready" so there.. I didn't go and check. Baam Pow right in the kisser.
Until last night, the sox game was well in hand, Althouse was on autopilot and I decided to check my statements.
Apparently I ordered something online at what I thought was a "discount" but in the rush to get the discount I inadvertently signed up for the bogus "savings service".
Today when I called to dispute the charges (they were close last night) I had no recourse apparently. I could only call to have the "service" discontinued but all that money just went into a black hole.
I've spent all day in a really foreboding mood.
I googled ValueMax and it seems I'm not the only one.
Truly beautiful people are the greatest work of art by the great Creator.
Great skiing, too.

Thanks, man. You're not bad yourself.
When we drove through Pagosa years ago, there was a hot springs resort of some sort that stunk up the whole town with a sulphurous smell. From then on we called it Poo-Gas-A.
But the Red Sox won, right Lem?
wv = sulis - How Lem is feeling.
They are a striking couple.
I wonder if Mr. Meade eats egg salad sandwiches?
I enlarged the picture and saw Yosemite Sam tryin' to blast some varmit way down in the valley by the water. On the far off cliff I can clearly make out some sort of bird...I believe a roadrunner that is just sort of hanging there in thin air....
wv cosive... something my 13 yr old is about to learn in math this yr
Jump!
"Doesn't it make you want to teach law in Boulder?"
I did teach there as a visiting prof in the Spring of 1991. Beautiful!
I was on a road trip in precisely this area in June - Pagosa Springs, Ouray ... truly spectacular!
And now I am sweltering in the Austin heat - I am jealous!
Congratulations on your new marriage and taking the time to enjoy its start.
Nice depth on last photo
Wile E. Coyote 'poof' element missing.

Since you're now in southwestern Colorado, I definitely hope you make a point to stop by the Anasazi ruins at Mesa Verde National Park. Also, don't miss Chaco Canyon a bit to the south of Mesa Verde in New Mexico either. Then there's spectacular Canyon de Chelly to the west of Chaco Canyon in Arizona.
And while you're visiting the old piles of masonry left over from the heyday of the Anasazi civilization, you might want to check out their modern descendants, the Hopi, whose Old Oraibi in the Hopi Reservation (the unofficial capital of the Hopi nation), at around 860 years old (founded around 1150 AD), is the oldest continuously occupied town in the United States.
