"Fun."

Yes, fun is what I see when I look at your face.

Yikes! The bad judgment of youth taken to the extreme: (1) Becomes a Nazi skin head. (2) Covers what looks as though it was a very nice face with permanent, deranged doodling!

Could be a LOLcat: "UP N TEH WITE PRIDE--MARKN UP MAH FACE!"

This fun guy has all the bases covered. Since a Tatoo is in essence a marking out of who owns you by a voluntary act of submission to it/them, this kid has become the property of all that he believes is powerful in this world. Who will set him free?

Well, I have sometimes wished that some people had a sign of their assholery tattooed on their forehead as a warning so other people would know...

Glad to see that some people do.

How come nobody ever has the good sense to get tattooed like this?

Anyway, suffering from allergic rhinitis, as I do, I’ve been giving serious thought to getting one of these.

Hold it - isn't "Redundant, pleonasm" both?

This guy, Curtis Michael Allgier, is a Utah prison inmate. In 2007, he was at a hospital, and he grabbed his gaurd's gun, killed him, and tried to escape.

On a lighter note, you'd think someone who was into White Power, wouldn't want to darken his skin that much.

What you may not realize is that most of the tattoos on the inmates are homemade, and done while in prison with whatever is at hand.

(I know a director who made a prison movie. He had tons of pictures of these guys.)

About three weeks a nurse I know had a patient w/ these types of tattoos all over his body.

I can't detail the types of injuries or where the patient was cared for. But, I can say that this patient's tattoos were on very clear display for his care givers. And, he was extremely polite to his (extremely prominent/skilled) black doctor. My friend, the nurse, said it felt very odd for everyone to obviously see the elephant in the room, but everybody, from the patient to all of the staff, acted as though the guy wasn't an extreme racist.

And, FYI you would be wrong to think that he was a reformed racist, where his tattoos remained from his previous racist activities. His visitors/friends were also racists.

BTW, I can say that his injuries were extensive, self inflicted, extremely expensive, and paid for by the government.

In addition to the metaphoric meaning of ownership, one of his tatoos literal says "Property of Jolene"!

I think you are on the right track. If you have these tatoos you can't ever leave the group. Who would even hire you? But that also means you can be trusted by other members of the group.

I had thought about getting an I LOVE ANN ALTHOUSE on my forehead, then along came Meade, and I had to say no.

Jason (the commenter)...One of my all time favorite movies called Empire of the Sun has the young Christian Bale playing a child, used to protection under the British Empire, looking everywhere for protection under the new power in town, the Japanese Empire. Any way, Jim has to find a way to surrender to the Japanese to come under the only protection from disorder surrounding the change over from one Empire to the other. Jim is smart and knows that the real power on earth in 1941 is superior air-power and its pilots. The story really applies to the era we live in, more and more. This kid with his multiple Tatoos has surrendered to the wrong power for now. That is also a failure of his culture to direct him towards a safe group in his life, so far. In the movie the American Empire shows up just in time with superior air-power and a new uranium fission super bomb that stops the war in its tracts before just Jim and everyone dies of starvation during the latest Empire change over.

Wouldn't it be easier to just tattoo "MORON" across your forehead, move to California and spend your days posting asinine comments on Althouse, occasionally changing your name?

It's not "fun." It's "F.U.N." -- the periods are swastikas. Based on the context, I'd guess it stands for "Fuck U N[word]." Not so fun.
