At the Grass Closeup Café...

DSC00403

... you can relax and take it easy. And maybe wonder why I ever took a picture like this. There is a reason, of course. There's a reason for everything. You crazy fool!

Being there should be a good enough reason.. or at least in our own minds.

This is also a good chance to use the word perspicacious in a sentence.

Sadly I'm not perspicacious enough to really say something perspicacious.

All that lovely green stuff! It's a meadow for feeling rich!

Looks like some infestation of creeping charlie in the foreground. Eradicate that or your grass will cease to exist.

God Love Ag Schools!!

KCFleming said...

Creeping charlie seems to be a very hardy beast.

I have come to hope it does in fact replace my entire lawn, much as the current grass is so crappy.

This may be a continuation of a pattens theme. There was the ceiling patterns the other day, and now this apparent non-pattern.

Beautiful, messy nature.

I used the word "perspicacity" on my blog once.

There has also being some discussion about math recently.
This seemingly chaotic picture may reflect or "identify with" (As Doris Kearns Goodwin would put it) Chaos theory.

In mathematics, chaos theory describes the behavior of certain dynamical systems – that is, systems whose states evolve with time – that may exhibit dynamics that are highly sensitive to initial conditions (popularly referred to as the butterfly effect). As a result of this sensitivity, which manifests itself as an exponential growth of perturbations in the initial conditions, the behavior of chaotic systems appears to be random. This happens even though these systems are deterministic, meaning that their future dynamics are fully defined by their initial conditions with no random elements involved. This behavior is known as deterministic chaos, or simply chaos.

I think it's like 'Blow Up'; go ahead -- find Meade's finger! Wait, maybe more Blue Velvet instead!

Lem Vibe Bandit said...

But of course all that theory means nothing to a fan.
There is nothing more poetic than a baseball diamond.

Lem Vibe Bandit said...

It was an ear in Blue Velvet right?

KCFleming said...

Yup.
Anyone else see what Isabella was up to recently?

Green Porno, Praying Mantis.

chickelit said...

Pogo: I don't think that one is going to show up at California Adventure's "A Bug's Life" soon- may be at an alternative Californication Adventures theme park?

KCFleming said...

Given that it was Isabella, I was simultaneously attracted and repelled.

And yeah, the mantis sex ride would be fun.
At least until the end.

Bissage said...

Wow. I apologize in advance but I am just so stinking proud of myself that I absolutely must tell everybody at Althouse that “Adrienne Barbeau” is now better than EVAR!!1!!!!

“Adrienne Barbeau.”

Deep.

Ha!

Bissage said...

One thing's for sure, nobody is going to mistake Isabella Rossellini for THIS cheerful fellow!

Wince said...

In exchange for mating, the female mantis insists that that the male give head "like a champ."

On the human side, I gathering that Adrienne Barbeau would not have to coax a similar concession out of Bissage.

@Bissaga:

You are seriously channeling someone else today!

What though the radiance which was once so bright
Be now for ever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendor in the grass...

Adrienne Barbeau is a symbol of all that is right with America:

B actress + A+ jugs = successful career.

KCFleming said...

Sorry, but that is not an A-cup.

Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass,
of glory in the flower,
We will grieve not, rather find

She deserves a "D" for "deep"

hmmm...maybe we should align our educational grades with bra cups...thus a 'D' student would be good!

Education: It lifts and separates you from the lower classes!

On the highest resolution version, I see an image of Jesus (or maybe John the Baptist) about 2/3 of the way across the pic, near the bottom of the photo.

Or maybe the professor dropped her keys somewhere in the pic?

Good Day fellow republians and Happy Holiday.

I am at the end of the country in Ptown currently.

It is beautiful here. You can actually see the shape of where the country ends. The Dunes are gorgeous and the city is alive with summer color. Very dramatic.

Just dropping by to pinch a loaf and wish all of you the happiest of Memorial Day weekends.

Namaste.

TitusisOnTheEndofThe Cape said...

Each city on the Cape has it's own identity.

Did you know that?

Hyannis what is it's identity?

How about Truro?

Falmouth?

Chatham?

Wellfleet?

If you have an idea about Hyannis's identity you may be mistaken. Remember there is a huge difference between Hyannis and Hyannisport. Hyannis is the Cape's largest city and it's grossest.

And you should always say "I Am On The Cape" not "I am at the cape".

Thank You Fellow Republicans.

Lastly, the Rare Clumbers have been mobbed by the town folk. Such an imposition but it comes with the territory.

TitusisOnTheEndofThe Cape said...

I am very excited about pinching my first ocean loaf.

Use the ocean at nature's TP to wipe the poo from your ass.

Then watch the loaf float by other swimmers. What a wonderful day at the beach.

Scythed grassy goodness, with hay fork.

Without hay fork.

The tracks are sneaker tracks.

Is that wild strawberries? Someone alert Meade that the prairie is reclaiming his yard.

Meade said...

"I am at the end of the country in Ptown currently."

You should always say, "I Am ON The End Of The Country In Ptown Currently," not, "I Am AT The End Of The Country In Ptown Currently."

And, you should always dispose of your raw sewerage in a sanitary manner whenever you evacuate your bowels.

Thank you.

...fellow Republicans.

...and lovers of the Bush Doctrine.

traditionalguy said...

Speaking of the Bush Doctrine, can you define that? Just kidding, the Bush doctrine is the best known doctrine in the world, especially in Terrorist supporting nation states. In ww2 we called it the Patton Doctrine and it was simply "When in doubt, attack."In the next few months will see whether the Bibi Doctrine trumps the Neville Chamberlin/Barama Doctrine which says "when in doubt do nothing and blame the Israelis"

TitusisOnTheEndofThe Cape said...

I dont' really pinch a loaf in the ocean. I love my ocean.

Fellow Republicans and Lovers of The Bush Doctrine. You got to admit it is kind of catchy.

The rare dogs are in abundance. It's a competitive dog culture down here. Just like the competition with the fags there is equal competition with the fag dogs. Just another area in which fags are always competing with each other.

My premiere weekend is always a low key affair. Quite a bit of reflection, reading, perspective, writing, walking, sitting at parks, being one with nature, becoming closer with the rare clumbers, art perusing, etc.

They have a drawing, photography, and some other crap class down here. I may take a class....yea right.

I have tinky winkyd in the ocean though. You have to.

TitusisOnTheEndofThe Cape said...

Oh and my weekend is quite a bit of being looked at, desired, and wanting.

By them not me.

I don't look.

Also, you can't see my eyes with my fabulous wrap around Prada glasses. The have to have item for this summer. But please do not purchase the ones with the huge PRADA writing on them for chrissakes. Have some taste. The understated small prada writing shows quality and discernment.

thank you fellow republicans.

I don't know what I am going to have for dindin. Probably takeout seafood but not sure from where. Decisions decisions. The food down here is fabulous.

again, republicans, many thanks.

You are all dolls...and doves...and peaches...and mint juleps.

@Meade, do you think maybe you're being told that it's time to mow the lawn?

Meade said...

Ha ha ha @Big Mike. I do, I am... but not by Althouse.

That isn't even my lawn.
