"In all my years of ghost hunting I have never been afraid. After all, a ghost is only a fellow human being in trouble."

Han Holzer, dead at 89 and, I'll bet, not currently in any sort of trouble.

Come to think of it, I've never been afraid of them either

What's the season, what's the limit, and what weaponry is best for ghost hunting?

The word "ghost" fascinates me. Nearly synonymous with “spirit”, the two words cover a lot of ground, including breath, alcohol, ghosts, and one third of the Holy Trinity. In German, the concept of “ghost” covers even more: their words Geist and Spiritus correspond to our “ghost” and “spirit”. In addition, their adjective geistig appears in the expression geistiges Eigentum, which, literally translated, could mean “ghostly” or “spiritual” property. Instead it corresponds to our expression "intellectual property" (in the legal sense), or more loosely, properties of the mind.
That brings me to the question of whether we know of any ghostly intellectuals around here?

It's remarkable how seldom ghosts find the right words for anything.

Now it can be revealed that all of his books were ghost written.

"I'll bet"

Now, that's quite catty, Ann. I don't ever remember you saying what way or the other you believe in any kind of afterlife. What is your opinion anyway?

But what does Archy have to say?

By definition a speaking person has or is a spirit. But a spirit is not a Human Being unless it has its own Human Body. Confusion is not reccomended in this area. Somebody alert Crack Emcee.

"Mr. Holzer saw life on the other side in sharp detail. As he described it to the Web site ghostvillage.com in 2005, it is strangely like this side, and bureaucratic to boot. The dead who become restless and wish to return to Earth for another go-round must fall in line and register with a clerk."

Say it isn't so. You have to stand in line for your own reincarnation?

I' waiting for the someone says in court, "Your honor, I wasn't trying to shoot my ex." I was ghost hunting, and I had no idea that those things won't stop a bullet.

The downside to not believing in an afterlife is that you can't look forward to saying "I told you so" to the people who do.

Believing in a afterlife doesn't necessarily mean you believe in ghosts.

One dog to another, remarking on a moonlit doghouse in the distance, ``That's the old Muffy place.''
