"I want this to be a leisurely, contemplative blog, not a 'Here's what's going on this second' blog. "
So said Jac, one year ago, repeated today as he celebrates his first bloggiversary. Congratulations! Nice list of your 10 favorite posts.

Thank you muchly! :^)
I spelled it differently: "blogiversary." Your spelling suggests an aversion to something.
And as I glance to the right side of my computer screen, I see you're going to pass an impressive milestone yourself pretty soon...
"...an impressive milestone ..."
Ooh... thanks for pointing that out, JAC.
And congratulations on your excellent blog. I learn at least one thing new every time I visit. Muchas gracias.
Today is my blogiversary too--number six! And thanks to Althouse for bringing up the subject, as I might have forgotten, what with Easter and all.
Speaking of that, Happy Easter to the entire virtual coffeehouse!
Congratulations to both John and Kev. Blogs are quite a commitment, so I am happy to share in your personal milestones.
I am also laughing at the quotes Maxine left. How DID you come to change your mind, John? You too, Kevin? What moved you to blog?

As I said in my post today, it was a chance to do several things at once: 1) express myself in a different manner than I, a musician, do through my instrument; 2) revive my brief-but-enjoyable foray into journalism in college (I got to come in once a week and write about pretty much whatever I wanted to, though it usually had something to do with the arts); 3) take up a hobby that a lot of my friends at the time had started to do (a.k.a. "all the cool kids are doing it," I guess, LOL).
Thanks for the kind words, Penny!

Change my mind about what? I don't see any quotes.
Hey congratulations dude. I still think you should loose the three name serial killer thing but I guess it works for you.
