Trees are taking over. We need an emergency corps of stimulus paid lumberjacks with free chain saws to meet this crisis of Overbearing, strong tree inforestations erupting everywhere. We can put it in the Stimulus Bill under Family Planning for Tree families. Seriously,I love the colors with the warmth of yellow/gold which trumps etheral purple coldness for me everytime. But to each their own part of the rainbow, and together we will become a beautiful picture.
Hmmm. No "fisheye" tag, so the trees really are bent around the center of this glade. Must be an old crop circle, now overgrown, caused by an alien spacecraft landing here. Which might also explain the eerie glow.

I don't know what all your poets are seeing, but what I see is a magnifacation of my scalp as I began turning bald. That looks like a photo taken from the annals of Hair Club For Men.
What are annals, by the way? It sounds vaguely Titus-ish.
I was wondering whether the Willie Nelson song Meade posted about the Rainbow Connection would be a natural fit for Liza Minelli or would be upchuck sentimental....I think only Willie's voice can provide enough gravel for traction on those syrupy sentiments.
Here's a way to photograph trees without getting mossy. My sister took it on our Christmas trip to Connecticut to visit some well-behaved apes. This is one of my favorites.

O joy! that in our embers
Is something that doth live,
That nature yet remembers
What was so fugitive!

For my favorite traditionalguy (and other lovers and dreamer): have you been half asleep, have you heard voices?.
Meade, I love that!
Whoops... dropped an 's.'
dreamers
Yeah, gotta have at least 2.
So I've been told and at times, even at my advanced age, I choose to believe it.

More hollow than happy on Wall Street where the Down has careened to 7581, near its October 2002 low of 7529.
What's so amazing
That keeps us moon gazing
What so we think we might see

Happy Hollow
Basking in flowing afterglow
Trooper, who are you milking?
Meade, who are you mooning?
Gazing, Ron... at the moon (and stars). Not mooning. That might be rude and wood not make the hollow happy.
That's one of the better pics around here. Bravo!
Sign death.

Well, of course, that was Paul Williams writing that for Kermit the Frog.
So a certain saccharine element is acceptable.

Willie Nelson's heartsick cowboy version of "Stardust" is a killer.
