Well my wife called me from the voting center and it's already looking like an hour and a half wait and it's 6:15 am here.
I'll wait it out since I already called in work and said my absence is simply the price of demoracy.

98.76% of the celebrity set are whackjobs Eli and 98.74% of them support your candidate so I wouldn't gloat.
I'd really like one of you lefties to explain your intense hatred of Cheney because thus far the only explanation I have heard from lefties is that he's a poopy head.
I'm going to vote first thing, I hope to be done in a couple hours. It's always fun to see my neighbors.
Voted. Had to wait in line for one minute here in Brooklyn, probably because I went at 6 am.
On the way out of the polling place, a young woman walking behind me was gleefully chanting "Obamanation! Obamanation! Obamanation!" to herself. Creepy and funny all at the same time.
I am going to vote in a couple hours. My side of town is reliably conservative (sprawl, military base, megachurches). So I doubt if I will encounter anything other than calm and courteous people in line, and no ponytails on either adult sex.
But I am STILL uncertain whether to vote straight ticket repub, or vote-the-encumbent-out curmudgeon. Ann, I think, would prefer to have me vote for that guy Obama. Any last minute advice? (Don't tell me to vote my conscience, that's just BS.)

I hate to say it, but I'm still not certain that I will vote. I would not vote for the O, and I'm no fan of McCain. I'm shelling corn and the weather looks nice and I'd like to pick some more corn today. A man has to have his priorities.
I plan to vote only on the ballot questions here in Massachusetts. No candidates at all.

Picking and shelling corn and voting are rituals profoundly American. As the true American you are, I'm confident that you can find a way to do some of each today.
The only good incumbent is a former incumbent.
I voted last week and I voted against most of the incumbents. Early voting in Texas smashed the previous record.
Now my primary interest is whether or not my 22 year old son voted or not. We'll see if he can drag his ass out of bed and vote like he told me he would.
I voted at 7 a.m. while the coffee brewed, but my polling place is across the street. I was in and out in a flash - voter #34 in the first ward of Geneva, NY.
And is your son getting that popcorn ready? Remember how he was going to make popciorn and laugh all night at the McCain victory that was inevtiable because Hillary lost?!
Ha ha, indeed.
I hope he enjoys crow flavored popcorn.
It took about 30 minutes to get through the line at BS (the church where I vote) this morning, and there was the bake sale and the coffee sale that the Jr. High students at the school were doing. But I passed on that.
So I voted against all the incumbents I could -- one. It was amazing how many people were running against no one. Maybe alarming or disgusting or upsetting is a better word than amazing. The President's race and the County Board seat were the only votes for someone. I also voted against the meaningless health care referendum, and for the school referendum (I think I voted for it -- it was not at all written in clear English).
I was number #160 at about 7:40 AM.
I laughed at the top picture. Poor Ralph Nader. The problem isn't that he doesn't pay attention to us but that we have paid no attention to him.
