That time Bob Wright was so sure that in my heart I was for McCain.

This clip is amusing me today:

[View video here.]

ADDED: Recorded August 20, 2008. Here's the whole episode.

AND: It's working right now (and I've deleted a previous update fretting about a glitch).

RE the "AND": The funny thing is that I did listen to part of the session and you were complimenting Mr. Wright on adding the functionality that allows bloggers to link to specific parts. It may not be real irony but it is at least Alanis Morisette irony that you can't get that functionality to work for this post.

You might have meant your "vow of neutrality," but it was clear throughout that you would choose Obama. I would have wagered that very substantially with anyone naive enough to take the bet.

You sure showed him. Of course, now we'll have the Fairness Doctrine, punitive taxes, political show trials, enemy "testing" (whatever the body count from that will be) and Mafia-run "Card Checks" to suffer through. But at least you sure showed him.

"Why are you showing a frame that you look absolutely distraught in?"

I don't pick the clips for the freeze frame.

My dear lady, you knew you always intended to vote for Obama to put yourself back in the good graces of your liberal colleagues. I wonder if you realize that you will have to defend his actions for the rest of his Presidency?

No, there only needs to be a chorus of "We didn't know!"

Better.

But isn't there a possibility that deep down inside you would enjoy if Obama lost even if you want to be on record as having voted for Obama? Maybe that sounds crazy? Maybe you didn't wanna go on record as having voted for the Republican two elections in a row. So, you slanted your blog against Obama for the past year and a half (perhaps influenceing hundreds of people to vote for McCain), but then wanted to be able to say for the next four years that, "Hey, Democrats are unfair to me -- and I voted for their candidate!"

Whew! JAC might have been Bob Wright's kid! Luckily, Ann, you ducked that bullet! (ahem.)

Now if we can only get Ann Marie Cox and Mickey Kaus to hook up! Plus their dual blog could be "Cox 'n' Kaus", just for the double "k" sounds!

don't forget the gutting of the stock market by eliminating 401ks. eco-pork, unearned income rebate checks, bankrupting the coal, oil and power industries, abandoning our allies, slashing the miliary, encouraging banks to make risky loans, funding ACORN, empathetic judges, law enforcement as the solution to terrorism

You are a female law professor my sweetie. If anyone had any doubt in how you were voting then they were just unfamiliar with your ilk.

Liberal, female law professors grew up with posters of Bill Ayers on their bedroom walls in the flower flowing 60's and 70's.

;)

How could I forget? Maybe I'm just out of breath and patience.

It's always the bad events they tell you to remember: the Alamo, the Maine, the Lusitania, Pearl Harbor, Mother's Day...

Well, whoever does sure has a sense of humor and healthy dislike for that Robert Wright fellow, judging by his freezeframed tongue-wag!

there was a time when prof. ann was leaning towards mccain, but she slowly turned against him after the second debate, after getting heavily criticized by the bhtv people and the leftwingers for posting this and ann's cruel neutrality pose was under attack.

of course, mccain's actions during the financial crisis and his campaign's low-road tactics did not help him with independent and undecided voters too.
