One of my favorite commenters, Madison Man, just happens to have an office window overlooking the scene:
The time is 10:30 a.m. Notices for the event said that the "doors" would open at 9:00 and the event would begin at 10.
Not quite a hotbed of Michelle-love, is it?
AND: MM tells me that is the same sized crowd that was there at 10 and that the event actually started right after the shot was taken. So this is, presumably, as large as it got, i.e., much smaller than I would have thought.
ADDED: Wow!
(Thanks, Palladian.)

OpenID erniecu73 asks: So, are you saying that the potential future first lady does not matter at all?"
Gee, what an interesting and intellectual query.
Hmmmm, let me think about this...
Yes, I it is important to me.
It's just whether the future First Lady draws or does not draw huge crowds at political functions that doesn't.
Is this something you think or worry about when deciding for whom you'll cast your vote?
Attendance at First Lady rallies?
6:23 PM
She wasn't campaigning for herself, she is campaigning for her husband. This was, by proxy, an Obama campaign event.

I love the sharp folk who are detecting Photoshopping. What would we do without them? Other than not laugh as much.
Now, what kind of hostess makes fun of her guests?
This is interesting. Obama drew a "sitting room" only crowd in Green Bay.
Here are the photos.
In fairness to him, the Bank United Centre at UM was packed on Friday. Not a seat to be had.
8000 seats, though. A far cry from the 80,000.
Okay, Bissage, I take it back. No one was dumb enough to think that wasn't Photoshopped.
HELP!
I feel like Eleanor Bron dancing with Paul McCartney.
I can say no more.
I think the Biden duck dog picture might have been a Photoshop. You can tell because the word "HOPE" in the smoke isn't wispy enough. I don't think that the smoke could really stay angular like that.

So, you think if she's "she is campaigning for her husband"...she should be drawing the same crowds as Obama?
I swear, you get dumber by the day.
*Did Nancy, Barb, Hillary, and Laura also draw crows comparable to their husbands?
*Being a suck-ass doesn't make you any smarter.
erniecu73: buck, buck, buck, buck, buck...
Chickenshit.
No! I want to be Eleanor Bron!
Mark K. Sprengel: Which site will be the first to use Palladin's uh photo to show that MO is drawing huge crowds?
Would love to see his referrer logs. Wait for it to be hotlinked by lefty blogs and Obama's site, and then replace the image with goatse.
Palladian, you did NOT get this idea from me.
Ok, not goatse. That's been done.
Tub girl would be far more original.
Palladian: No one seems to notice that the Biden Duck-Dog creature is speaking at the rally. Hmm...
I did (on the smaller forward stage), though the resolution was so low that I couldn't tell what it was. It looked somewhat like the new icon for the Google Chrome icon (it was round), but upon closer inspection I thought not. It looked like a big white eyeball with a blue iris.
Hilarious!
Nina attended the rally and posted many photos along with her impressions.
Note: if you click on the link, play nice in the comments over there. I say this to assuage my presumptive guilt over the traffic and ensuing comments that may land on Nina's blog as a result of me linking this here.
Joan, thanks for posting nina's link. I like her take on things -- very contemplative.
No! I want to be Eleanor Bron!
Well . . . okay . . .
But I'm still going to insist that you lead.
Racists!
Oh, wait, they're Democrats.
That's what I meant: racists!
Speaking of sparsely attended rallies, look at this!

Closer . . .
Closer still...
I knew these Obama rallies were attended by clones, but sheesh!
