I live on the west coast, so the show hasn't aired yet, but I read a summary elsewhere, and am not the least bit surprised by the final two. The only thing I'm wondering about is whether one of the commenters here (at least I think it was a commenter--one of your sons, if I remember correctly) predicted all of the eliminations correctly, or if a few of them were out of order. If I had that post handy, I'd see, but as I'm remembering it, almost all of them were on target.
My favorite - David Archuleta - has begun to bore and annoy me. David Cook who has irritated the SHITE out of me all season is beginning to get my grudging admiration. Granted, I still want to kick him.
Did you see the look on Simon's face when Fantasia was doing her number? What do you think that meant? He did clap and smile when it was over though.
David Cook is the only contestant I've found worth watching. I think he's genuinely talented, and sure hope he wins the dubious honor of winning American Idol.
I'm not surprised, as the producers have been shilling these two for weeks. I would have liked Syesha to go farther, but eh. It's not like I voted for her (sorry trooper).
I have watched about 15 minutes of this season. I did catch the recap at the end of the final three show and a bit of Cook's last song. I think Cook was the weakest that night. Syesha sounded better than Cook during the recap part. Archuleta sounded way better than Cook. Cook comes off as a total poser. Archuleta seems like another Clay Aiken, but at least seems genuine.
Syesha is by far the most appealing of the final three. Little Damien Archuleta has enough on his plate being the harbinger of the Final Days....and David Cook is a rip-off artist who if he wins will disappear into the ozone like the grey haired spastic dude. Syesha will probably have a big career on Broadway as she has the personality to sell it on stage. Male Idol winners just can't cut it at all, it's as simple as that. And did you see those puppies in that tight shirt. Wouldn't you want see more of that Madison Man? I know I would.
"I don't think either of the David’s hold a candle to Melinda Doolittle."
Well Archuleta would hold a candle to her to light her on fire because he is Satan's spawn and loves to torture the innocent beings of this earth. He sends out subliminal messages that will make the dogs lay down with the cats and bring the end of days.
Simon's expression watching Fantasia's performance is like me looking at Wisconsin. Horrified but with nervous applause for politeness sake. Yeah....... OK...that's really great.

I lost interest when the cute blonde got the boot.
On a side note, a girl from my area won the top model contest on another channel. Way to go Whitney.

I'm ok with it. I've lost interest this year.

I'm outraged!
Pretending the last seasons was "just a dream" is a total cop-out.
Or am I a little behind the times here?
I'm outraged too....that people watch that claptrap.
What happened? I don't even know who is in the running.
Are they hot?
Gay?
Nice hogs and pecs?
Really, that is all the matters in life.

Are they hot?
Sadly, no.
Gay? Possibly...?

Yes! I can't believe they put that on the air. His clapping and smiling was accentuated by OMG! and WTF! looks at Randy, though.

I assume you're talking about Simon.

Archuleta wins it all, by default.
