How much are you going to miss this view when your year's up?

Great trees in NYC right now, and I'm about to get a new lens, so look out. Also remember that dead rat on the sidewalk in NY?

Yes! A marching band playing "Hail Purdue!"

And a dead rodent.

With fantasy fog...

...Where the Wabash spreads its valley,
Filled with joy our voices raise...

That fog was pretty soupy and cold when my boat got to Pier 11 at 6:30.

I was expecting to hear the hounds...

Ruth Anne, I disagree - it's all about subtle variations on a theme. It's really quite an appealing set.

It's beautiful and I like it.

Look, I got up this morning, opened my blinds and saw great pictures that needed taking. I also took some pictures out and about as I was walking to a café and then to the law school this morning. My battery conked out, so I couldn't upload them.

I'll put them up soon. There's lots of stuff around here to photograph.

It's very hard in Madison to find new things. And the art museum there bans photography. Here there are many more museums and they let you take pictures.

In the band we march and swagger
As we play for old Purdue.
At the halftime we do shows
No other band on Earth could do.
When we cheer the Earth will tremble
For we're known throughout the land
As the best in marching music,
We're the Boilermaker Band.

"I know why the caged blogger keeps photographing the skyline.

/Shudder/ We had to read that godawful book that you're alluding to in high school English. Just really dreadful. I think some of my classmates really gave up reading after that, just a really sour experience. As unrewarding as the worst of Dickens.

I don't expect an answer on everything I ask her, Ruth Anne.
