Too much Hillary and Obama?

What's going on here this morning? I need to look at other things. Surely, there are other interesting things in the world!

The first flower in Ohio is usually Crowsfoot, last year March 21 , anyway counting flowers on my bike commute.

Spring may be later this year owing to the Democatic primary battle.

Make that Coltsfoot, not Crowsfoot.

Ha. Crowsfoot means something else.

I'd have suggested chicken foot if they asked me for the bird involved.

I think we'll still have snow on the ground on March 21st here. It's supposed to go below zero tonight (whimper).

The pear trees are blooming. We have around 1 million of them here in Southeastern Virginia. My strawberry plants have some flowers and berries. Spring is coming!

Tulip trees are blooming in Memphis and the dogwood blossoms are swelling. Of course there IS a major winter storm warning for tonite but it is supposed to be 60 by Sunday.

Yesterday I played in the first match of the 2008 Harris-Teeter Senior Golf Tour. It was held at Sapona CC in Lexington, NC. What a nice course! Cherry and Pear trees are blooming all over the place!

I'm going to the Bronx Botanical Gardens tomorrow to see orchids. I am so clueless about botany that somebody will have to tell me what I'm looking at. But I think the Botanical Gardens are set up for that kind of stuff.

Melinda,

I go every year and my brain doesn't retain what I learned the previous year. It is well and good because it is such an experience you'll just love it.

Enjoy
