Apparently, there's a real dispute about what color "royal blue" is. My sister seems to believe it is simply bright blue (which may be the majority view), but I think it is blue tinging slightly toward purple (the traditional view). I think royal blue is a beautiful color for clothing. (We were looking at a sweater.) It's subtle and flattering. But bright blue is no good at all. Who wears bright blue clothes? I was quite serious about the blue being "not royal enough," but after I said it I was amused by what a diva-ish pronouncement it sounded like.

Go with the royal purple. It's made from crushed snails at Tyre, you know.
Something tells me that the store they were in wasn't Victoria's Secret, or Fredericks of Hollywood.
Then again....wouldn't it be funny if the two sisters went shopping for lingerie and better boudoir fashions !
