"We had to flip the whole interface around."

Blogger is finally available in Hebrew, Arabic, and Persian — languages that read from right to left. It's not going to solve all the problems in the Middle East. But blog on.

I bet they still have to code left to right.

printf(".dlrow olleh\n");

It's time the right-to-lefters got a Xetrov of their own.

Does anyone here have cousins ?

But can it be done Boustrophedontically, as the ox plows the field?

Any interesting adventures?

Lude and lurid, sordid and tawdry experiences......are always better when they involve a Cousin, particularly a first Cousin !

And it's completely ok. You're allowed! After all, they aren't siblings. They're just cousins; anything goes.

Why marry a stranger?

No European country prohibits marriage between first cousins.

It is also legal throughout Canada and Mexico to marry your cousin.

...But only if they're good looking !

This is ridiculous. Writing right-to-left is stupid--you can't see what you've written and your hand smears the ink. Those people should all learn English anyway--Blogger is just enabling their backwardness.

Not if you're left-handed.

But what is the proportion of sinister people in our midsts? My rough guess is about 10%.

But, interestingly, for some of the people speaking these backwards languages (from our perspective at least) penalize lefties enough that the percentage is likely lower. Something about the left hand being unclean.

If you're a lefty who makes chicken scratchings and you learn to write a language that's written from right-to-left, your handwriting amazingly becomes impeccable.....at least that's what I found.

Incidentally, Obama is a leftist, neurologically speaking. leftiesforobama.com

True, so very true, I’m sure.

By the same token, however, I’m equally sure that when you flip the interface around, it never gives anyone a solid chubby that lasts a lifetime.

As Ralph Kramden would say, "Humina, humina, humina!!!"

Actually writing English (left to right) is as easy as writing Arabic (right to left) and believe it or not...You are not going to smears the ink.

I was considering moving my blogs to wordpress because they have Arabic support forever, but since Google is my favorite company of all time I decided to wait a little bit.

There is still some mistakes in the Arabic interface such as mixing the Arabic msgs with Persian ones (They look the same for foreigners but they are nothing a like).

I also think it's great for native English speakers to learn other languages, it's a whole new world.
