Not Yet Real

Wintry mix is hard to take, unlike the clean cold thing;
Not diamond hard, soft fake, when what you crave is frozen bling.

I loved the chair haiku. What a nice post! Thanks for linking, I'd never have seen it otherwise.

All snark aside,

So, Ruth, I take it the "twist" is that there was no insult involved in my alleged "insulting upward."

There seem to be a few rather suspicious people lurking at this site. Back in the "old," early days of weblogging, we picked up each other's themes a lot and considered it a welcome compliment.

Thanks to Ann for linking back, and thanks to Joan and Peter for the kinds words, and to all who clicked through to see my Althouse Wintry Mix post. Meanwhile, I'm more than satisfied with the two to three thousand visits we get a day at f/k/a, even without celebrity linkage. And, I appreciate very much Ann's mixture of photography with commentary.

Thanks for the link, Professor A.

And thank you, David Giacalone, for a very well-done and fascinating site. I've added it to my bookmarks.

David Giacalone: You are correct.

Althouse is all about linkage. She even gets miffed when people who are insulting her fail to link.

Pull up a keyboard and join the throng. This blog is the cyber- equivalent of a coffee house with many pleasant regulars and Althouse is the barista who does art in the froth and foam.

Now, Ruth Anne, don't forget the times when the the chairs get smashed, there's broken glass all over the place, and people are throwing crockery at each other from behind overturned tables.

And the cops never show up.
