Hillary as the woman behind the man.

I can now do little embedded clips from Bloggingheads. Try this:

Here's the whole diavlog.

(And sorry for the insolent look on my face on the freeze frame. I was going to pick another clip just to avoid it. But other matters are more pressing at the moment)

One person's insolent is another person's sultry.

It's always better to be a pouty mouth instead of a potty mouth.

Hey Trooper, you thread hog. I saw you went a little crazy last night.

Jeff, I was all by my lonesome while everyone was watching the dog and pony show. I just didn't want to watch Donna Brazile pose as a college student to ask Rudy guestions. Now if they got Bobo
Brazile, well that would be a different story.

By the way, Beatrice Arthur is still looking good. And she is surprisingly articulate for such a famous lefty.

"Beatrice Arthur is still looking good."

Still? Still?

I date way back to the Maud TV show. So help me out. That was her, right? Or was she the one that played Marty?

I always get those two confused.

The debate wasnt bad, but I think CNN may have gone to far when they let James Earl Carter,(retired peanut farmer, undecided voter) ask a question.

Another one was Mikey Moore (undecided voter) The way he was dressed, I think he was unemployed. I just KNOW I have seen him somewhere before. He was setting next to the retired peanut farmer. Something so familiar about that. Ah, well. I am sure CNN would have mentioned it if it were important.

I'd say imperious rather than insolent.

I'd say flatterer rather than sycophant.

Actually, this expression sums up your attitude very well. As if you know what people really mean and don't have to actually judge them by their words but by your view of what's in their hearts.

Simon said...

"Imperious" is flattery?

Simon said...

Alpha - I would think that judging someone by the actual content of their hearts to the extent it can de discerned is a much better measure than judging them by what they claim with their words to be the content of their hearts. Perhaps you've just never met a politician?

Let's say I'm phlebotomist, and I'm coming to draw the blood of both Gottlieb and Althouse.

Who's veins would be harder to locate?

I reckon I'd have no trouble locating a good vein on Gottlieb, no trouble at all.

Althouse---I'd be searching for days. I bet Althouse has rolling veins of the type that frustrate many an emergency room tech.

That, and the fact that there's only a couple of years age difference between Gottlieb and Althouse. ---No matter how much Althouse would like to think otherwise.

Fondly,
Maxine

Listen, I've seen Althouse's bare arms when she wears those tank tops, and my overwhelming impression is:

How is the Phlebotomist/ER Tech ever going to take blood from that woman ?

Hey, I'm analyzing the words here all the time. I think I take the words more seriously than most people do. I just also have some ability to read between the lines and to speculate about real motivations. I do that when I read Supreme Court cases, and I do that with politicians. It's up to my readers to decide how valuable my speculations are. But one thing is certain: It is utterly unsophisticated to try to understand politicians by their words alone. I know you're trying to criticize me, but what the hell are you saying?

I still can't figure out who Ann's voice reminds me of. Every time I watch one of these vlogs it bugs me.

So, Ann -- cut it out, whatever it is you're doing. :)

"I'm gonna give you thirty days to get back home
I done talked to the gypsey woman on the telephone
She gonna send out a world wide hoodoo
that'll be the very thing that'll suit ya
I'm gonna see that you be back home in thirty days
Oh thirty days (thirty days!)
Oh thirty days (thirty days!)
I'm gonna see that you be back home in thirty days
Gonna send out a world wide hoodoo
that'll be the very thing that'll suit ya
I'm gonna see that you be back home in thirty days."

When middle-aged women put themselves on video, nobody listens to what they say.

We're too busy looking at their necks.

If you're middle-aged, stick to writing, and let the young and beautiful flaunt themselves on video.

Such a cruel world.

Love,
Maxine
