Car...

Here's the cool car I got to ride in to see some of the scenery north of the city today:

Let's take a closer look at this car:

This detail — called a scoop — is — I'm told — very special.

Are you an international spy or something...what's the deal... law professors do not drive around Big Sur in sports cars...you need a helicopter chasing you with a guy hanging out the door spraying machine gun fire..

In Palo Alto Porsches like that are as common as Ford pickups.

With scoops?

Phallic buildings and vulval car scoops. You just have to keep stirring that vortex, doncha?

Sleek black cars.
Pointy titted starlet sluts.
Mountains plunging to the sea.
Crazy California -- earhquake in the void.

Yeah, pretty common but not as numerous as the BMW, Lexus, M-B, and the monster SUV's. And there seem to be quite a few Toyota Prius.

I drive a 4-door mid-size American car so I can turn heads and draw attention.

You lucked out and got some good weather in the City. Fog is the usual condition.

This is one of my dream cars. They may be routine in parts of CA, but not that much so elsewhere. Sure, I see a lot of the Boxers and some of the cheaper 911s, but this one moves.

Please tell me it isn't Maxine in the driver's seat!

That wasn't my car. If it were, she'd still be on her way back to the hotel.

Nice scoops. Wonder if people argue as heatedly about them as what is the wingnuttiest post.

Boxers are California senators, Bruce and one is enough for the whole country. (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

Ann:

The scoops come "free" with the Turbo badge on the car's butt.

Porsche 911 Turbos are the apex of many car guy cravings.

Althouse is fabulous. I admit it I love the Althouse vortex.

Fabulous cars, cities, hotel rooms. It makes life more interesting.

Not fabulous is just not fabulous.

The California female political power brokers are fabulous too.

I know most hate Boxer here but she is fabulous, along with Feinstein and Pelosi and Harmon. Fabulous democrat women. I love them. I absolutely love fabulous women and I Love Althouse.

Barbara Boxer was also fabulous in Curb Your Enthusiasm recently.

I know she is awful by most of your standards but she is really fabulous.

Titusdj said...

Gore Vidal is on TCM right now and is he really fabulous.

Titusdj: I guess some people think Boxer is "awful." Other think she is laughable (she was voted "dimmest bulb in the Senate" once or twice by Washington-insiders). Be that as it may, I have voted for her. And I've never forgotten that, when she was a congresswoman, she showed rare courage and compassion at a time when both were in short supply, in the early stages of the AIDS epidemic.

I'm surprised she did well on "Curb Your Enthusiasm," as most politicians end up looking pretty stiff in cameo roles, Barack Obama's outstanding performance in SNL notwithstanding.
