My neighborhood Italian restaurant played only Pavarotti tonight.

Here. (The tagliatelle with bolognese sauce was yummy. And the waiter was terribly handsome.)

Yes the owner's come from my grandmother's native island of Ischia....where the specialty is rabbit...I remember every Easter we had some new bunnies to play with...and then they went to a farm upstate to play and frolic....hey wait a minute.

Ah, yes, there was rabbit on the menu.

Supposed to be great, but I haven't been.

You should try Henry's End as well if you're checking out that neighborhood. There are actually decent restaurants on Henry Street.

Yeah dtl, Henry's End is great and known for it's exotic game dishes...bison...alligator..ostrich
(which is the only one I tasted and strangely enough, does NOT taste like chicken).

Noodle Pudding. Hmm. I made chocolate pudding tonight. Yum. (NOT from a box)

And I was out drinking on Henry Street tonight.

So Ann was so close, yet so far, to the elusive DTL.

;)

Why, anyone could see me on the street and purport to be downtownlad!

But Henry is a long street. I'll bet you were many blocks away.

Me, I was alone with my book, just trying to get some sustenance after my late afternoon class.

A-ha, but if they stop you in the street, it couldn't be me.

If you were to meet me, you would see how utterly normal and likable I am, I'd probably have to start being polite on this blog. And that would be no fun. No fun at all.

I might work in the area, but I rarely go out there. Drinks with work colleagues though, so it was an exception.

So, have you been to Grimaldi's since you've been back (I assume you'd been before you left). If so, is it still as good?

My goodness, where are the pictures proving that you were actually there?

I have a wonderful Christmas CD featuring Pavarotti...I will find it terribly hard to listen to Ave Maria without getting a bit more choked up than I usually do this year when listening to such a magnificent voice. Rest In Peace, Signor Pavarotti.

Maxine,

I thought we've established that she's not actually there. The green screen she used for her vlog was almost perfect. Almost.

However, I think I see the climactic conclusion of this saga: Althouse is actually a highly sophisticated computer construct, a la S1mone. I'm not sure who designed her or what their motives are, but I'm sure all will be revealed over time.

noodle pudding, yes. yum. but my questions is:
have you been to blue pig for homemade ice cream yet!? (have the pumpkin pie ice cream, which actually tastes like sweet potatoe pie).

If you eat baby bunnies, soon there are no more bunny droppings on the lawn to seek out and eat, if you're a dog. A lesson I taught my Doberman just yesterday, rescuing and holding out a baby bunny she'd treed ; should have gone for the camera.

Bunny then disappeared into the bushes.

Yes but if you stew slowly over a low flame in white wine, garlic,
with a hint of lemon and serve it over risotto...I think that your Doberman might just take that risk
