Is it just me, or . . (blush) . . .

What do I see?

An aging law professor who craves attention.

A can of vanila frosting with a peanut M&M in the middle.

Billowing sheets surrounding a small, yellow brain.

A velvety white spathe surrounding the tip of a small, yellow spadix.

I see a jerk with no manners with a healthy smattering of hypocrisy (hint- one should never cast aspersions about craving attention when posting like a troll).

But then, I was looking at the comments, ajd, not at the front page.

A Stage Door.

I see a lit window in a snowy valley.

Just the top half of the pic without scrolling down. Definately soft serve from the DQ.

I think B (8:04 PM comment) and I are on the same page... Filthy minds both.

Chickenlittle is half right. It is a ball of earwax but it's in the ear of a rare albino Vulcan. Vulcans don't have cilia in their ear canals.

Clitoris.

What? You know some of you were thinking it.

Zeb Quinn said...

A little man in a boat.

The moment of natural childbirth?

please do tell

I see Georgia O'keefe all over the place. If only it were 5' X 5'. Second, I see a potential for a careless stain.

Boy, I feel like such a pollyanna for thinking it looks like an abstract madonna and child. But I was a mediocre art history student at best.

Or maybe I just wish I'd come up with dave's comment. (Bravo!)

Loved your post at Simels' place.

How much do you drink, anyway?

Siddartha is supposed to tell us what he didn't see...

Well, one could look at this picture from the Freudian, or alternatively, the Advertisian point of view.

Freud, of course, would see virginity.

The Advertisian would see the requirement that all Pajamas Media bloggers must post a specific number of posts in a given time period, in order to maintain Google Page Rank points.

Me ... I just see a nice flower.

Soft boiled egg on wilted spinach. Or a little man in a boat. I'm good with either.

Oh my! This photo makes me blush :)

I see an onion ring distorted by a vortex or a vortex being distorted by an onion ring.

AllenS said...

It's an onion ring with a piece of carrot in it.

Just a reminder: don't put tomatoes and cucumbers in the same bag.

Riffing off Meade: some times a velvety white spathe surrounding the tip of a small, yellow spadix is just a A velvety white spathe surrounding the tip of a small, yellow spadix.

My first impression was of good ol' Mr. Softee

Even though I keep coming back and looking at it, I get the same sweet memory of childhood summers and our favorite treat.... Freud would be so disappointed in me.

Peter Hoh said...

I vaguely recall that Mr. Softee ice cream was kind of bland and had lousy texture. We preferred the Good Humor truck. Better music on the Good Humor truck, too.

My fav soft serve ice cream these days is from Culver's. They, of course, would prefer that I called it frozen custard. Whatever.

Ann Althouse said...

In Madison, it's Michael's Frozen Custard. Far beyond Culver's.

Ruth Anne Adams said...

I, for one, won't miss that Madison oneupsmanship when you go to Brooklyn.

Peter Hoh-ho-ho: This is no yolk...Custard contains egg or egg product. Ice cream usually does not.

Brent said...

. . . except French vanilla ice cream.

MadisonMan said...

Michael's Frozen Custard is way too expensive. Sure, if you have $20 to blow, it's good. But in the summer, you sit in the heat and contemplate a custard that quickly becomes a soup.

But I do like their Cherry Soda.

Ann Althouse said...

Michael's does melt fast! Probably lacking some additive... If you get a cone, trying to keep it from dripping can distract you from the taste.
