Yes, and the strength of her character is evident as she has struggled day after day, week after week, month after month, with both his traumatized body and his evanescent mind.

He came to America and made a life for himself as a boxer, a jazz club owner, a bouncer, among others. He is suffering from a Parkinson's-like illness, possibly related to his boxing career, and Annie is his everyday caregiver. They live together in North Carolina, muddling along. She blogs often about his day-to-day events. He has recently made great progress in strength, movement and intellectual connection.
