Did someone teach Ann to dupe the layer, blur it and put it on overlay at 7% opacity? I see subtle signs of that cheapest of the cheap photoshop tricks in this.
djangone, my photo tweaking tricks are sooooo much cheaper than that. I don't have Photoshop, just iPhoto, and I mainly turn up the contrast and the sharpness a little, maybe lower the brightness, and maybe turn the saturation up or down or the hue or temperature one way or the other. And of course, I crop.

Ms.Althouse, Will you be stopping by Milwaukee for summerfest. If so, you should blog about it and do a segment on bloggingheads.TV
Not your first photo of the wonderful elephant ear hosta. I like them as well.
Blogged hostas from the blog hostess. Sweet!
Ooh, professor, you're such a tease.
Leaf us alone.
Heart shaped shields of bronzy green
In a shady place,
Hostas' emblamatic sheen
Fills the dimlit space.
Oops. Emblematic.
Finally!!!
The return of vegetable porn!!!
Let it never be said that Althouse doesn't give the public what it wants...

Mr. Simels has already said "adieu" to Althouse and yet he has commented, above.
It seems the vortex reaches all the way to France.
And gentlemen, when it comes to well-tended gardens, there ain't no bad.
Gertrude Jekyll said it first.
Just kidding.
