I was quite impressed that Judge Jones did not "pull rank" in order to get a seat. Few indeed are those in positions such as hers who would not somehow make their presence or position known in order to get seated. Good for her.

Yeah, but why of the FS guys so oblivious that no one noticed her and offered her a seat?

She might've preferred to stand. Isn't that a woman's prerogative?

Ann: The thought did occur to me, as in "Were there no gentlemen in the room?" It does not speak well of the manners of those seated in her vicinity. (That there was no apparent special treatment of of her because of her position was admirably egalitarian, provided others were treated the same way.)
