The bar employs 20 men who have been given protective gear and physical training to prepare them for the job.Okaaaay. That's happening in China. Want something like that in your town? Or have you got a better idea?
Clients can ask the men to dress as the character they wish to attack....

The Rising Sun Anger Release Bar.
Where the customers -- most of them women -- "smash glasses, rant and even hit specially trained workers":

I think the concept needs to be tuned up a bit. Why not a "self loathing bar" staffed with expert mimes. These sharp actors (psych majors perhaps) could quickly pick up on a customer's obvious weaknesses and play them back in real time. Didn't close that deal because of your mousy demeanor? Now you can lash out at that part of your psyche you dislike the most.
The idea is after all to have a booming business isn't it? In America more people commit suicide than murder their boss - that should be your target demographic.
I'll take an oxygen bar instead. Or a Yoga studio.
Sounds cheaper than therapy. And probably more effective too.
I like it. And Garrison's idea is even better. If it becomes a hit, they could branch out into the other seven deadly sins such as: Pride Release Bar where all the table tops are actually reflecting pools of water in which patrons can endlessly gaze upon their own highly self-esteemed images... Sloth Expression Bar, empty of patrons who are just too damn lazy to get off their own couches, climb into their nonexistent never-washed out-of-gas cars, drive all the way over to their neighborhood bar and go to the trouble of actually striking up a boring lackluster conversation... Lust Release Bar -- eh, nothing new there... Covet Thy Neighbor's Wife Bar -- again, nothing new... Gluttony Consumption Bar, same... Greed Is Good Bar... hmm... are we beginning to detect a pattern?
Hmm, any else think it odd that the name 'Rising Sun Anger Release Bar' has 'Rising Sun' in it, what with the usual connotation that 'Rising Sun' means 'Japan'. As well as the not quite cordial relationship between Japan and China for, oh, ever...
The bar's in Nanjing, where memories are long, and hatred deep.
(The Japanese killed 300,000 out of 600,000 residents there, over a six week period in late 37 early 38)
If there was a 'Third Reich Beat Up Bar' in Tel Aviv, do you think BBC would ignore the obvious geopolitical angle?
