Happy New Year to you, too, Ann. The second anniversary of Althouse is a mere eleven days away. To wish you continued successes here seems an inadequate way to recognize all that you have already accomplished. Still, to the year ahead, to the next milestone, however it may present itself, to your writing, to you. Have a great 06.
Thanks, everyone. Brendan: I never read the Wisconsin State Journal, other than to glance at the web headlines and maybe read an occasional article. I just get the NYT, which is easy to buy around here.
I've been under the weather, so not getting around much this past week. But I did want to thank you for being such a gracious and thoughtful host, and wish you and yours all the best for 2006.
Happy New Year everyone (even the hardcore lefties). Even though I'm more inclined to think the move from April was always a bad idea (yes, I'm an April's Fool. Wanna make something of it?).
And if you want to stay happy about the New Year, and the next quarter century, don't read Washington Post's Op/Ed pieces under the heading Population 2030, I did and found them all to be wanting (and grossly pessimistic).
(and what better way to start 2006 but with a little comment thread self-linking)
I expect things to be lively here in 2006. At least one more contentious Supreme Court confirmation hearing, continued ups and downs in the War on Terror, more clueless artists, the occaisonal clued in artist, more angry exchanges with other blogs, more humor, and more insights from Prof. Althouse.

Ann,

2006 ought to be a fine year.
Is it just me, or does it seem like 2006 is kind of going by slowly?
Happy New Year Ann. Happy New Year commenters!
You know the year is off to a good start when you have two good BCS bowl games (texas-usc,ohio-dame) to watch.
Hey, where it the thread where we can put down our six most important predictions?
