Blogger's back.

Blogger was down for a couple hours today. Nice to be back! It was a planned outage for an upgrade, not some sort of collapse, so don't be hating on Blogger.

I hate those updates, scheduled or not.

I lost my first draft of "Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World" because of that.

And have you noticed that they added "moderate comments" in your Blogger settings page?

I tried it, but I thought it was going to be something like delete or edit a post as Word Press has it.

It's actually going through each post and approving them before they post to one's blog.

Maybe okay for some bloggers, but if you have a high volume of readers, like we do here, forget it.

Please use the comments forum to respond to the post. Don't fight with each other. Be substantive... or interesting... or funny. Comments should go up immediately... unless you're commenting on a post older than 2 days. Then you have to wait for us to moderate you through. It's also possible to get shunted into spam by the machine. We try to keep an eye on that and release the miscaught good stuff. We do delete some comments, but not for viewpoint... for bad faith.
