Althouse: Quadrupling Shuffle memory.

Great! I love my 1GB iPod Shuffle -- the way it looks, its near weightlessness -- but more memory is always nice.

Ann Althouse said...: Yes, it's funny that the loss of choice was presented as a choice. What's really great about the Shuffle is how lightweight and small it is. But presenting shuffling as a great feature kind of makes sense: less is more and you're going to be wearing it while running around so you won't be fiddling with the controls and looking at a screen. And there less space for your music, so you sort your music into playlists in the computer. You can still play them in order, btw. You don't have to shuffle. I actually don't mind having only 1GB.
