DC Republicans always talk a good game, and then do nothing. For example, they still haven't got Boasberg up before Congress to ask why he was signing off on spying Congressmen and Senators. Among other things.
I look in the mirror and wonder how it came to be that I no longer expect anyone except token players to pay any fines or serve any time. In an age of open lawfare, you'd think that actual crimes might be prosecuted aggressively. I really am astonished at how cynical I've become, but I guess the bigger question is why it took so long.
There was a huge number of public employees complaining, and being told to keep quiet. The fact they're not quiet any longer tells more than some realize. Those involved with trying to keep a lid on the activities will be prosecuted long before the governor, and those that tried to expose the corruption will be witnesses during the prosecution.

Bribes to the Democratic Party are almost certainly a line item in a fraud of this size. Check the political donations of everyone involved.
The Somalis stole a lot of money because either (a) no one was watching or (b) the watchdogs were muzzled. The latest incident involves a guy in the town of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, a small town out in the western part of the state. The guy claimed to be providing more meals each day than the total number of people who live in Pelican Rapids, but he got paid. The smart money is on (b).
During the George Floyd riots ignited in Minneapolis, the city burned, the police station burned, entire city blocks burned, people lost their properties, businesses, lives. And Tim Walz kept huddled in a closet somewhere for two days before coming out and saying/doing nothing.
I was shocked at the lack of leadership and direction, both by the Mayor of that city and by Walz, the Governor. Imagine my shock when I saw that Minnesotans reelected both Tim Walz and Jacob Frey.
Walz was who the Democrats decided was the best man- after looking at their bench around the country- to show how masculine and regular Democrats can be.
What we know for sure after time spent watching Tim Walz, and now reading these reports: We know how utterly fake and corrupt Democrats are, in every possible way.
Boy, I wish I had a governor who would pay me that much for my vote.

When you come to the point where you see the Democrat Party as an organized crime ring, so many news stories like this one make a lot more sense. Why didn't Walz stop the fraud? One possibility is that he was in on it. Another is that he's so incompetent that he didn't realize what was happening despite being told. It would be interesting if many of the leading politicians and bureaucracy heads were subject to in-depth IRS audits. Who know what might be revealed.

My local newspaper has a story on this today. The leftists in the comment section are not even pretending to be upset by the fraud, nor the fact the fraud is taxpayer support of terrorist groups in Somalia. They only shriek "But Trump!"
I thought that smart politics would be to shriek "But Trump is bad, and look at us to see how much better we are!" But our leftists are not even pretending to be "how much better." They just openly commit crime, fraud, support evil, and scream OrangeManBad as if it somehow is justification for their own crimes, and also as if it makes people want to vote for Democrats.
