The escalator stopped because a safety mechanism was triggered by a White House videographer who was moving backwards as Trump and the First Lady stepped on. This incident was investigated by the United Nations, which concluded it was an accidental malfunction, not intentional sabotage.

DePape is a deranged Canadian immigrant that claimed during a second sentencing that he is a psychic, that 9-11 was an inside job, and also didn't believe Pelosi regarding Russiagate.
Over two weeks after the evidence of Charlie Kirk's murderer has been available, and around 30% of the Left still claims it was a false flag operation carried out by the Right. To be fair, there is a contingent on the Right that claims the murderer was supported by Israel.
By the way, the DA blocked the release of the body cam footage related to the Pelosi attack. It took a request by news organizations and a court order to have the footage released.

People walk the wrong way on escalators all the time; it doesn't trigger them to stop. The emergency stop button is low and typically covered. No one ever hits one inadvertently. The cover story that some people keep repeating doesn't sound remotely plausible.

Sooooo... when a grand jury approves murder and terrorism charges against Tim Walz, you won't be moving the goalposts? Because it isn't usual that a political assassin is taken alive, much less evades the police for two days.
