Rabel said...: So I went to the convenience store and and an older pickup parked just ahead of me and the fellow in it got out first and headed to the door just in front of me.

I'm kind of old and limpy nowadays so he held the door for me and I said lightheartedly, "I'm a-coming."

"Take your time," he said.

He was sixty-something and had a long white goatee and a bald head. He was wearing a utilikilt with the full Sean Connery legging treatment.

He was also carrying a semi-auto on a belt clip on his right side and a black folding knife on his left.

I asked him, "Where you get that skirt , Sally?"

Well, no I didn't. He was friendly but seemed a little too chatty for further engagement.
