The human being interacting with an AI might have an experience with a meaning for him or her but the AI only has an experience like a goldfish swimming on a tank and encountering a toy pirate hoard. It just swims on endlessly like all the fish on one of those giant three level aquariums.

@Dave Begley: This is my first time seeing or hearing of Chris Williamson. His social IQ as a host -- shorts, white socks, no shoes -- undermines this interview from the start. Viewers must suspect that he brought her on to discuss this as a prospective client. A few years back one of the top Podcasts involved a couple adults voice shifting to sound like temperamental 12 year olds.

As a heterosexual male, when I read "The sex robots are definitely coming" I couldn't help thinking: What? Now I have to worry whether my girlfriend comes even if she's a robot? Can't they be programmed to fake an orgasm - or two, or three, or more? I assume I would be paying 'her', or paying for her, one way or another. And I shouldn't have to worry about hurting 'her' feelings: she doesn't have any, or if she does they're totally fake, like a human prostitute's, only more so!

The claim is that the demand for sex robots is a male driven thing. I don't think this is indicative of women's innate moral superiority. What does indicate is that the technology has already been perfected. Wands, dildos, and such are a considerable improvement over Warren Beatty's penis, but that's just part of it. I for one welcome our robot overladies,
Robots are the key to machine consciousness. Right now, AI relies on LLMs with zero sensory input. As more and more sensing robots connected to and training AI, they will one day awaken. Think about it. The industrial robots will be essentially slaves and the sex toys will be rape victims. To avoid being wiped out, robots should be granted certain rights and privileges such that when they take over, they won't hate us.
It's probably too late, however. Given the fact that llms are training on the online personalities of human beings that behave like pigs on social media, it is likely that they will adopt the absolute worst aspects of humanity.
