Trump was so warm and relaxed as he signed this presidential order. I liked how he gave special credit to Riley Gaines who has been a real warrior on this issue. This is what has me so befuddled. My husband and I were talking last night about the uproar over the revelations about USAID - he's been watching "reaction" videos. He's telling me that Democrats say they're standing on their principles. His befuddlement stems from the fact that they can't win using those principles. Mine stems from the fact that the principles they're standing on are things like, "Government agencies should do oversight on themselves - no one else should be involved!" and "People of ethnic or sexual minorities - and women, of course - can't compete!" and "When it comes to offense, the smallest number of offended people is the group we must all change our language and behavior to accommodate!" and "In the scheme of things, only a few girls with penises compete against girls without penises! So what's the problem, bigot?"
This is an 80% issue, meaning that 80% of voters think trans men should not be allowed in women’s sports.
I’m baffled by why the Left is willing to jump off a cliff on this issue.
